Everything exceeded our expectations, to be honest. The room was spacious and even it is in a central area, it is very quiet. It is also a short 5-10 min walk to the fort which is the main attraction in the city and just a couple minutes away from the bazaar. The breakfast was outstanding, one of the best we had in our trip in Sri Lanka. And so was the coffee! The staff were very nice and helpful, they went out of their way to help us with an issue we had completely unrelated to our stay there which was greatly appreciated.

Beautiful setting! The furniture was lovely and the decoration thoughtful. The plants and pool area were beautiful and peaceful. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was delicious as well - I loved the vegetable curry especially. Not far from galle fort and more. Wish we stayed for more nights.

Stunning, brand-new, incredibly friendly hotel. First of all, this property looks exactly like it is in the pictures: private, luxurious, comfortable, and beautiful. There are only 11 rooms including the superior room with a huge terrace. All rooms have balconies or terraces, so you can enjoy your time looking at the beach and ocean waves or busy and funny Hikka’s streets. In your room, you will have everything you might possibly need. You won’t want to leave that bed, it's so comfortable and was made for your best sleep. The pool is big and clean, you will have plenty of options for where to get your tan: on big beds, on covered or open chaise lounges, on the grass, or near the pool. The territory itself isn't that big, but it's well taken care of, clean and functional. You can get access to the 360• view terrace or enjoy some time in the gym. There is a bar and a kitchen for your comfort, you should definitely get some milkshakes and Caesar salad! We have walked near almost every hotel on Hikkaduwa’s beaches and even big, branded and famous ones aren’t even close to Dormero. As for breakfast, you can get a traditional one or choose one of many options, including omelets, bowls, sandwiches, waffles, and many more. No matter what you choose, it will be delicious. And it is very hard to even start talking about personnel. Everyone there has only one goal: to make your stay as good as possible. There are some securities, who constantly check on the property’s safety; barmen, who will make you the best cocktails; cleaners, who will clean up the room every day… And Franziska! What an angel! She will help you with ANYTHING, she will become the best hotel manager in your life, you won’t want to leave just because of her 🥹 We loved them all! (Also, there is a cute dog Kiki and monitor lizard that checks on you while you are getting sunbaths ☺️ ).

The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. From the very first moment to the last, we were thoroughly impressed with their outstanding service. The food is absolutely amazing, and we can’t wait to come back!

This beautifully restored property brings you back in time in the most elegant way. We loved every minute of our stay and our room and surrounds were unparalleled. It’s an easy still into the bustling town, but to be honest we almost felt like we didn’t want to leave. The staff were as welcoming and friendly as you could possibly imagine.

Nice villa with swimming pool in a quiet neighbourhood. The owners are very friendly. The breakfast was delicious! The bed was comfortabel and the room nicely decorated.

We made the booking in the last minute. And we arrived early so of course our room was not ready. We were okey with it, we just wanted to put our bags to any place. But they gave us a temporary room. And they said we'd stay as long as we wanted. They brought us avocado juice and then tea with pancake. We weren't expect this hospitality because we stayed many places in Sri Lanka. We rest in the temporary room and then they get our room ready. We are really surprized when we saw the room. Because it's so huge and has everything. We really felt like at home. This people are extraordinary. We extended our stay and second and third day we were trying to complete the payment. They didn't want us to make the payment right away. They said we could do it whenever we were available. Finally, on the third day, we were able to pay, and although they brought us a lot of food, tea, snacks, they did not ask for the payment for them. They said "you are our guest" ❤️ The family are so kind and very friendly 🙏 we wish to stay here again❤️ A big thank you for everything! We appreciate what you did in our stay🙏 If you want to know more info about the room, ıt was so huge and clean. All furnitures are new and in good condition. Actually they just started to rent this place. So you can be sure everything is new and very clean. If you can ask, they can bring you a kettle. Also the family has a mini market in the entry. You can buy anything with a good price. You can be sure that they will do everything in their power to make you comfortable. You won't find such service even in a much more expensive place. I hope if you come to Galle you will choose Silver Rail based on the satisfaction of all reviews. I recommend it wholeheartedly. We rate this place 10/10000000000000000000👌

This hotel absolutely amazed us and truly stands out from the offerings in Sri Lanka. It seamlessly combines modern design with a touch of traditional Sri Lankan culture. An important detail worth mentioning is that the hotel is owned by a renowned Sri Lankan artist, and this is evident in every corner. From the way breakfast is served to the interior design, we were genuinely impressed.
