Best staff I have experienced. The guys were so friendly. They are amazing. The food and the spice route made this a 9+ experience. They deserve everything that is coming to them. Well done! We booked this hotel on our first day, since it was close to the airport, we might book on our last day as well.

We chose to stay here for a few days after we landed at midnight from NZ . Beautiful property. Very comfortable, everything clean and staff exceptionally helpful & friendly. The property is a wonderful historic house that has been maintained to a high standard. The pool is amazing and overlooks the beautiful lake. The food is really good and the property gardens are on an impressively beautiful lake.The staff , chef, manager were all incredible and made us feel so welcome. They gave us a tour of the property’s coconut grove and gardens with cuisine menu sourced from fruit and veges grown on site, as well as guided complementary visit to local temple , weavers and a bike ride around the lake.

We stayed for one night after arriving at the airport which is a very short Tuk-Tuk or taxi ride away. The room is very clean and cozy and there is everything you need. Mario and his family are such great hosts! Mario cares a lot for his guests and gave us plenty of useful information for our time in Sri Lanka. He explained us the bus connections to Kandy and even accompanied us to the bus station in the morning. We felt treated like friends and would definitely come back!

The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful. We had a late arrival due to a delayed flight and he was so accommodating and woke up at very early hours to check us in. He also allowed us to stay later than check in to catch up on some sleep. He cooked us a lovely lunch and arranged our transport, very resourceful!

Most friendly place. Simple rooms, but all you need coming from or going to the airport. Super clean, warm water, air conditioning, comfortable bed… Cherry on the top though is the hospitality- greeted with a beer and a friendly chat, given a surprise complementary breakfast on the way out and no ask was too much! Definitely where I would always go again to and from the airport (oh yes, complementary airport shuttle too…)
