Lakmal, Morin and the hole family are so great, lovely people. The accommodation is nice, close to the beach and to restaurants. We felt like home and also our kids felt very welcome. We can highly recommend staying with this family.

Outside area with table/chairs and pool just outside the door. Genuinely friendly, help- and respectful family that owns the guesthouse. Made us feel at home immediately. They helped us with scooter rental, tuk tuk transport and all other questions that popped up during our stay. Star of the family is - of course - the dog Tio. Unbeatable price/value.

This Homestay was THE BEST 💜 -Victor and his family treated us as we were also a part of this beautiful family while not being intrusive at all. -We enjoyed walking to a nearby beaches and having a dip in the beautiful pool. -Breakfast was very large and delicious. -We enjoyed some beautiful cakes and tea on the balcony while having a really interesting conversation with Victor our host. -After breakfast, we began reading ourselves to leave the property and we were told that we could stay as long as we wanted as check out was flexible. - One of nicest gentlemen we’ve had the pleasure of crossing paths with on our travels.

This villa was absolutely beautiful, it’s just been renovated to a very high standard. The whole villa has a stunning design and is very modern, it’s of outstanding quality, and extremely clean. The walk in showers are amazing, the bathrooms, bedrooms and living area are all beautifully designed. The villa is decorated to perfection, with Sri Lankan furniture and beautiful Sri Lankan paintings. You get the entire apartment on the top floor to yourself, and there is a private entrance to the top villa and a kitchen area. This villa is very private and has a lovely swimming pool in the garden. Rosa and her daughter Zara runs this property and they are wonderful, very hospitable people, they speak English and German fluently. The breakfast was delicious, with so many different combinations of Sri Lankan and continental with plenty of fresh fruits. The location is very nice and quiet, and in walking distance to the beach. Aluthgama is just up the road and has plenty of shops, restaurants, banks/ATM a good train station, and buses that run past every 10 minute. You will also love Billy the dog, he’s such a friendly dog and a big part of Sunny Villa. I highly recommend this property it’s very good value for money.

We had a stay of one night after our stay at the other villa of Shameera. Also this Villa is a great place to be, really fantastic. Once again, the host Shameera is a wonderful guy. He is so kind and polite, he helped with everything. eg giving some really good hints, what to do and what kind of activities are good to join. It was our pleasure to stay in this Villa also and also to meet such a great person like Shameera. Thank you for everything, you have done for us. The property is nice and quiet location, very private and situated between houses of locals. About 300meters walk to local beach with some nice restaurants. The property owner are very nice and friendly, super easy to communicate.
