We had an absolutely fantastic time at Kandy home stay. Jaliya and Shama were the kindest hosts we’ve stayed in 3 months of travelling Sri Lanka. The house is absolutely immaculate and you have access to a wonderful balcony set in nature. The facilities are excellent and the highest standard we have experienced since leaving the U.K. I highly recommend visiting Kandy home stay.

We booked this last minute after finding the last accommodation unsatisfactory. The host (Nik) was very accommodating, he gave us tea whilst we waited for the room to be ready and the room was very comfortable and clean. We had a delicious breakfast every morning and Nik also arranged a driver to take us to our next stop. We really enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay. It felt like a little treat for us as we have been booking cheaper accomodation. It was right by the lake which was perfect and the breakfast was amazing! Bed was comfortable and we commented that the room and bathroom were very clean. Staff were helpful especially with carrying our bags up the stairs and steep drive!

Very spacious and comfy room at such a reasonable price! You can arrange Tuk Tuk transfer to reach this place. Ashan is really a friendly and helpful host. The pictures of this hotel looked amazing! As the hotel has little reviews (it’s only a month old) we were a bit unsure whether to book or not, but glad we did! The rooms look exactly like the images and the entire hotel is decorated beautifully. The room was large and airy with a very neutral design which I loved! It had great details, including a large free standing mirror, coffee table and armchair. The main show has to be the bed. Large, extra soft linen with plenty of cushions - dreamy! The linen has been some of the best I’ve experienced in a hotel. The bathroom also featured a large shower with a giant rainfall shower head. I would definitely stay here again. Wish there were more quality stays like this! One last thing, they served a fab coffee!

Spacious, newly built place. Host is a lovely man, his family are very nice and wanted to make us comfortable. We could use the kitchen to make tea, heat our takeaways. Tea and water was offered. Views are amazing.

Very nice house with beautiful little garden. The room is furnished with great taste, the garden is full of flowers. The family is super nice and friendly, they treated my daughter as their own. They also organize cooking classes, which I absolutely recommend: it is taking place in an authentic kitchen with traditional utensilies, and is the owner's mom who teaches you about spices, local vegetables, and how to cook some very tasty Sri Lankan meal. She is great! Breakfast is an amazing selection of local dishes, and it's plenty. Our host was also very nice, ready to help with anything, explaining about culture and what to see in Kandy. He helped with our laundry, organized for us tuktuk to the citiy, and took us to the train station when we were leaving. The whole family was very nice and attentive to our every need. The location is outside of Kandy, a bit far from the center, but because of this it is very quiet, and it's surrounded by nature. I highly recommend it! Even if you don't stay here, try the cooking class!
