Where do I start! everything was beautiful from the calm garden inside the nature to the most poetic looking river, the room was huge and specially made for safari vibes. Each one of the staff was super nice and friendly thanks to (Mr. Reihen, Mangala, Mangula) for making our stay very special. The food and the starry calm night were amazing. We went on a safari trip with Mr. Reihen who was a professional guide and photographer, the tour was almost private, one car only. We went to zone 5 which only 20-30 safari cars were there so we could really enjoy the trip. We were very lucky to see many animals specially the beautiful leopard.

I don’t have words to describe the beautiful Mailagama Cinnamon Residence. Staff was super friendly and really helpful. We joined the copper dinner and it was simply amazing, we had dinner in the garden surrounded by the rice field - speechless! The room was clean, hot water in the shower. They arranged a safari for us and gave us a doggy bag with breakfast. They also have an immense rice and spicy field and have us a tour around. Beautiful experience

Very remote location in the wilderness. We saw water buffalo bathing in the evening. Very peaceful surrounded by wilderness. Loved it :)

The location and the staff are incredible!! The team was very nice and helpful, Chathuni made us feel at home and Mark taught us all about nature and the park, it was just great. The rooms are very comfortable, equipped with private bathroom, AC and wifi. The place itself is great, you can relax there before/ after the safaris. Actually, they also organize the safaris, which is very convenient. We will definitely come back if we visit Yala again.

I had the pleasure of staying at Farm Villa Resort in Katharagama for two nights, and it was a wonderful and memorable experience from start to finish! 🌿 From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and heartfelt. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything. Special mention to the front office team – truly a gem in hospitality! The room was spacious, the bathroom was very big, and the overall comfort . The clean and inviting swimming pool was perfect for cooling off and relaxing in the serene atmosphere. What makes Farm Villa Resort truly special is its beautiful location surrounded by nature. The resort is set amidst lush paddy fields, and there's a charming little lake flowing through the property, creating a peaceful, scenic environment ideal for rest and reflection. I enjoyed walking through the paddy fields, listening to the birds in the mornings, and even got to pick fresh fruits from the garden! 🍌🌾 It's also conveniently located – just a short walk to the sacred Kirivehera and Katharagama Dewalaya, making it perfect for both pilgrims and nature lovers.One of the biggest highlights was the full-day Yala Safari arranged by the hotel – an absolutely amazing adventure! 🐘🦁 We saw incredible wildlife, and everything was perfectly organized with a knowledgeable guide.The food was another standout. The traditional Sri Lankan dinner was flavorful and authentic, clearly made with care and love. The breakfast offered plenty of variety, and every meal was beautifully presented. The dining team was attentive and courteous, adding to the overall great experience.In summary, Farm Villa Resort offers far more than just a place to stay – it's a place to connect with nature, enjoy delicious food, and experience genuine Sri Lankan hospitality. Comfortable room and very clean. Wonderful service from the gentleman running the place - he was warm, friendly, attentive and made a great breakfast. We really enjoyed chatting with him.

It’s in the middle of nature, very calm and peaceful with only the sound of birds to hear. The best thing was the family. The hostel owner is super nice and helpful with any kind of little problem or question! I would 100% recommend it, I have rarely experienced such kindness without wanting anything in return! Also his little girl is the cutest!!
