Amazing breakfast, super helpful host, stays 7min walking from the start of the stairs to the Mihintale Rock, has a couple of local food restaurants just on the side of it aswell. Perfect home stay.

The hotel is in a convenient location and easy to reach. The hospitality of the staff was excellent - they were friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Absolutely liked everything about the Residence by Amaya. Relaxed ambience, convenient location closer to Anuradhapura town and other main attractions of the city. Loved staying at the Village Life Mihinthale. The room is clean, has comfy, soft bedding, and has all essentials.Good lighting and plenty of electric sockets to charge our devices and work with my laptop.The bathroom was spotless and excellent hot water, so easy to use. The host, Mr. Gihan, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His friendliness and hospitality were amazing. He arranged to show us the glamor of the sunset on Mihintale rock.There is a really nice viewpoint to watch the sunset and surroundings peacefully. The breakfast options were amazing.Host Gihan's mother made delicious Sri Lankan foods with love. Rice and curry was heavenly.Mr. Gihan arranged our transport, and the driver was also very professional. We love everything about this place. We will certainly be back!

    Great green spacious property. We liked the swimming pool and the family oriented atmosphere. Very polite and friendly staff who will make you as comfortable as possible. Our advise would be to spent 2 days full days ( 3 nights) in the area to see the old city of Anuradhapura one day and the other day the temple in Minhintale.

    We LOVED our stay here! The family was so incredibly kind and the typical Sri Lankan food they made for us (dinner and breakfast) was delicious. The Mihintale Rock actually surprised us with the beautiful view, definitely a must visit if you ask us. Hope to return one day, Thom and Lars.

    The host is a most warmhearted and welcoming person. He also has helpful tips for excursions to nearby sights or places to eat out. The most important historic places are within walking distance. I got a delicious breakfast at a fair price. Despite the affordable rate this place is at the same level as much more expensive ones. There are non AC and AC rooms available.

    Hospitality of the owner. Before our arrival we were in contact. A babycot was arranged for our youngest son. Toys were available to play with for the kids. Owners prepared everything they asked for the kids.

    Black and white themed guest house/hotel. Nice well kept tropical garden setting with a nice swimming pool and infant pool. Polite and helpful staff and owner family. Well located for visits to Mihintale Temple. Food and drink available on site. Other bars and restaurants are a short tuk tuk ride.

    Awesome homestead with a friendly family running this place. Owner is a local tourist guide, but still gives very helpful advice although not going on a tour with him. It's ideally located within walking distance to bus stop and as well the local temple complex. It's clean, got hot showers and even little things as an adapter for international plugs. The top rating has been in my opinion well deserved.

    It is very close to Mihinthale town and the environment is very quiet and peaceful. Facility was clean and well maintained. Definitely a fun place to stay for family and couples. The owner of the place was very helpful and tried to make it our best stay. The family who owned the place was super welcoming and give us a feeling more of a guest family than an actually hotel. Great value for the money. Would definitely come back again when visiting Mihinthale.
