A wonderful simple & authentic home stay. The owners (mother & son) were so lovely, friendly and helpful. The tea & cake on arrival were very welcome! It was the perfect overnight stay before doing the 10minute walk to Nanuoya train station the next day. Would highly recommend.

Most reliable wifi (assessed with speed test) I had throughout Sri Lanka. Comfortable bed, easy access to socket, clean and spacious toilet/shower room. Because of the altitude and climate, it’s generally not hot in October so you don’t get to be bothered by mosquitos that often. Hospitable host, a welcome cake and tea. Calm, polite and not pushy for adding meals etc. Near Nanuoya station. Overall a 9.8/10.

The rooms were fantastic with the full wooden finish and balcony into the garden. Great ambience combined with very warm friendly service from their staff. Everything was literally perfect about this place. When we came Suresh and his staff welcomed us with open arms and immediately took care of our luggage where you don’t see everywhere. We got to have a conversation with Suresh himself for 1.5 hours about him and his life and to say the least he was one of the most interesting people we have ever met and I mean that in a good way. His way of thinking is extraordinary and he got a beautiful vision of what life is. Our needs and questions was taken care of as quickly and Suresh and his staff could and they even washed our clothes. Me and my girlfriends best stay in Sri Lanka without a doubt. Next time we’re going to Sri Lanka we are coming back here.

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The host family were so welcoming and kind, and helped us with planning our holiday, not just in Nuwara Eliya but all over Sri Lanka. They also introduced us to a great guide for hiking and transport to Ella. The house and room are exactly as described, the bed really comfortable and the shower the best we experienced in our whole trip.

The Owner was so kind! He was as kind as a Japanese worker. The room rate was so low and it was so comfortable. The breakfast was so delicious and large portions. I'll come back to the hotel when I visit Nuwara Eliya next time. Thank you so much for being kind to me.
