Really really impressed by Ruwan our host/cook/cleaner/pool attendant and all round good guy! The owner's were often around too and couldn't do enough to make our stay as perfect as possible. The swimming pool is a must in tropical humid sri lanka. What beautiful scenery, what a location. Long way from anywhere, so prepare to relax, soak in the abundant nature and read your book ... maybe bring some cards? The daily firefly evening display was spectacular, making the trees glitter like christmas trees ... laze in the pool and look up! In the days it's the eagles with their aerial display, lizards and of course the 'hoppity birds', woodpecker & kingfisher's, coming to assess the suitability of the guests. Swimming in the local river was nice, bit of a shame about the spontaneous viewing gallery though.

I had a great stay! The house is incredibly cozy, clean, and very modest – perfect for a relaxing visit. It’s conveniently located close to Cargills Food City, Keells Super, and many other facilities, making it super easy to get whatever you need. We were so lucky to find Tekkawatta for the last four nights of our hectic three week trip to Sri Lanka. The two bed villa is spacious and clean, very good a/c and the meals prepared for us were excellent. The staff are polite, discreet, professional and friendly and the owners are charming. We highly recommend this jungle oasis on the edge of Colombo. It’s a bird watcher’s paradise and a heavenly end to a fabulous holiday.

It was the best decision to spend a night in this place - everything was beyond my expectations! the hosts were so kind and helpful, I really felt like I was was visiting good old friends. Room was perfect! I would like to give an extra point for a nice view! The bathroom was also nice and spacious, all needed toiletries were included. Also it was a pleasure to meet Missy the Dog! Wish she could have slept in our bed:) Thank you once again for such a nice stay after a few stressful flights to Sri Lanka :)

The location is excellent. A lot of supermarkets and food shops around. The gym is good. The apartment is well maintained and comfortable. The host was friendly and welcoming.

Absolutely everything was impeccable! The owners were kind, friendly, and extra flexible, allowing us a late checkout which was much appreciated. We honestly didn't want to leave and this will definitely be our go to place when we return to Colombo next. The owner Oshadi has an incredible talent for interior and exterior design and the beautiful setting alone is reason enough to stay here. Every inch of the place has been attended to with impeccable taste. The caretaker was also extremely helpful and we had a very comfortable stay here.
