We had the best stay here in Sri Lanka so far! It was my boyfriends birthday and I only asked for a fruit basket to surprise him, but the staff had decorated our room with balloons and they sang happy birthday to him. We were both very pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us with arranging a safari. Which we can also recommend because we saw lots of elephants from very close. Also the hotel it self is very nice. The pool and the room were lovely. We had a very nice sleep in the comfy bed. So we definitely recommend staying here!

I really enjoyed my stay, the room and bathroom facilities were very very clean and we had a great balcony where we enjoyed breakfast and dinner. Homemade food was delicious, and we really felt welcome. We really appreciated the bike rent that is very convetient to go visit the sacred city from the home stay. Staying at Aruna Home Stay in Polonnaruwa was by far the best experience I had with local people during my trip in Sri Lanka. It was amazing. The host was superb, helpful and nice. Place is brand new and very clean. House is in perfect location close to restaurants and shops andl near the archeological site. You can rent bicycles on site what makes the sightseeing much more easier. I highly recommend this place.
