The cleanest hotel I stayed at in Sri Lanka! The owner welcomed us with an excellent Italian coffee, loved the breakfast, the location, the rooms, the vibe. Highly recommended!

The location is also excellent—just a stone's throw away from Galle Fort and within a very short distance of the beach, offering the best of both worlds. Whether you’re looking to explore the historic sights, soak in the vibrant local culture, or simply relax by the sea, everything is conveniently close. Our stay exceeded all expectations. The level of care and attention from the staff was impeccable—they were well-trained, friendly, and attentive to our every need. It’s evident that they take pride in making every guest feel at home, and it truly elevated our experience. On top of all this, the accommodations themselves were outstanding. The rooms were spotless and beautifully furnished, creating a space that was both elegant and inviting. This wasn’t just a stay; it was an experience that made us feel completely rejuvenated. This is by far the best accommodation we’ve had in all our travels across Asia. I recommend this property to anyone planning a visit to Galle, you won’t regret it. And as for us, this has become a must-visit destination, and we’ll definitely be returning whenever we’re back in Galle.

It was our very first night in Sri Lanka. As we arrived late, we just slipped into our beautiful and comfortable bed in the bedroom surrounded by antic furniture. Tomorrow morning we were just amazed by the garden's mango, jackfruit, coconut, beatiful flowers, peacocks in the tree. The host led us through their garden before the large and delicious home-made breakfast.

The villa is great, I recommend it to everyone. + good location, about 20-25 min walk to the beach + great pool and garden + it is very clean and fresh + friendly owner and his family, always smiling ++ I go free upgrade and had room with a kitchen that was well equipped

Our accommodation boasted not only comfortable beds but also a fully equipped kitchen, providing us with the convenience of preparing our own meals if we wished to do so. This thoughtful inclusion added a level of flexibility to our stay, making us feel right at home. However, what truly set Villa Rumassala apart was its exceptional staff, who went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. Menaka, in particular, epitomized hospitality with her warm demeanor and attention to detail. Her genuine care for our comfort and satisfaction truly made us feel like royalty. Additionally, we cannot speak highly enough of the Tuktuk driver, Sandaru, whose fair prices and friendly demeanor made exploring the area a breeze. His knowledge of the area and willingness to accommodate our preferences enhanced our overall experience immensely. In conclusion, our time at Villa Rumassala was nothing short of magical. Darshi, Oshi and their three kids who live on the property were the most amazing hosts. Darshi is a phenomenal cook. The food was out of this world!! If you asked for a particular dish, it was delivered! Sri Lankan hospitality at its best. We also learnt much about the local culture from Darshi and Oshi.

Beautiful colonial building with nice gardens. The rooms are beautiful and the staff are so attentive and helpful. Was the perfect choice after a busy 10 days travelling around Sri Lanka. They upgraded me to a better room which was very kind.

The pool was amazing! The staff were so helpful and even drove me into town on a tuk tuk for a very reasonable price. Although it was about 5 minutes out of Galle town it was well worth it. It was very peaceful. The breakfast the next morning was very tasty.

We had a really wonderful stay at Silver Rail. The room was very big and very comfortable. The family who runs it was so welcoming, they offered us tea and a delicious breakfast. They even showed us how to make the pancakes we loved so that we can try to make them at home later 😋The location was good, we could walk to the Fort everyday. Thank you so much for your hospitality! :)

Lovely location - close to the action, but not in the middle of it. Wonderful service - Ashan, who manages the entire villa is polite, helpful and friendly. The room was large, comfortable and clean.
