The place certainly had splendour about it. I had arrived late afternoon so was able to have a walk in the gardens, say gardens more like an estate. Peaceful, clean and warm. The manager was more than helpful even suggested some routes for me to go after I had left. There is a shop that stays open to a decent time and you can get some hot food there. A very short walk as no catering on site, but that was made clear in the booking. Kitchen was well provided, no cooker but microwave, toaster, kettle fridge.
