We had a great time at Le Grand Bleu. The owners, Jaqués and Celine, are very kind and communicative. All the staff, servers, guards, and drivers were very nice and friendly. The food is very good. Overall, this place has amazing value. We would definitely stay here again. We did 3 tours organized by the hotel (Nosy Iranja, Nosy Sakatia and canoeing to Leboke park). Extra notes - The bedrooms are comfortable but not luxurious. Everything was very clean. - The water pressure and water temperature are nice for showering - The view is amazing. You will immediately feel relaxed upon arriving - It is located in a very safe part of the island - They prefer you pay in cash as opposed to credit card. The closest ATM is at the airport 45 minutes away by taxi, so make sure you have more than enough cash at the beginning - It is common to see lizards and cockroaches in the rooms (but hey, it’s Africa so what do you expect?!) - If you speak French you are fine, but if not the communication can be a struggle and awkward at times - Make sure you have enough cash to tip your servers, guides and drivers - Tuktuks are a very common form of transportation. Take one to have some fun!

The breakfast was very good. The owner Erik, very professional. Within the apartment there are nice swimming pool. It is maximum 10 minutes by walk to wonderful beach Andilan.

The breakfast was terrific. The fruit juice was fresh daily. We enjoyed the extra eggs. The nutella crepes were the best. The staff were just very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, and the fans were very helpful in dealing with the heat. The bed nets were of great quality and kept the mosquitoes away. The pool was spotless. The shuttle to and from the airport was very timely and professional. I would highly recommend this quiet beach and this wonderful resort.

A beautiful quiet location! The pictures don’t do it justice, when we arrived we had flowers scattered on the floor and in the bath - what a treat! The food was amazing, everyone was very friendly, and accommodating and it was an all round amazing stay. We took a trip with the local guides to Nosy Fahny, we went in a local fishing boat, went snorkelling and then sunbathed on a desert island. A memory we won’t forget! Special thanks to Yvonne for helping us with transfers, guides and making us feel so at home. Also a big thank you to Lloris for being so attentive and lovely!

Incredible boutique hotel. Welcoming drinks, big and clean rooms, good wifi, friendly staff and amazing views. Aircon, swimming pool, good breakfast and ocean views, everything in one beautiful place. Massage also great, cheap ($50.000 ar for 1hr) and you can hear the waves as background. The beach is clean and almost no one which is kind of a private beach. The owner very kind modify some things in the menu to make it vegetarian for us, really smiley and cool guy. Highly recommended this place!
