Really helpful, friendly staff, especially the owner. Great bungalow, right opposite the beach with seating to look at glorious view. Good value, excellent food, home cooked and delicious. Half way from airport to town. Owners live on site- the place has a super friendly, family feel, and has a good local reputation.

The owner and his wife are very friendly and helpfull, really 10 out of 10 regarding hospitality! The accomodation is spacious, the beds are vey well, the shower was one of the best in Madagascar we encountered and the location is quite near the city. You can walk there in half an hour or take a tuktuk for little money. If you want to rent a scooter you can also arrange this via the owner and his wife. Really the best stay we had during our whole trip! Thank you very much again 🙂

We had a great stay at Domaine des Citronniers. Marc was very welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, with a double shower, fridge and private balcony with chairs. The garden is beautiful, we could rent a scooter easily, and Marc also shared good tips for restaurants and activities. Breakfast was fresh every morning. Highly recommended.

Muriella is the best host! Very friendly and helpful, makes such a difference to the overall holiday experience! The villa is very big and has a wonderful porch with chairs and table. Kitchen is well equipped, bathrooms have great walk-in showers! Beds big and comfy too. Huge tv! Just 30 seconds walking from the beach with beautiful palm trees!!! Lush vegetation around, such a relaxing and tranquil spot, would DEFINITELY go back. Villa has a generator that provides electricity if there is a power outage (which happens quite frequently on the entire island). Would recommend buying a local sim as wifi on the island is not great no matter where you stay. I bought TELMA for 15e and got 15GB of data-lastedmy entire 3 week stay in Madagascar ( I did not use youtube though!). Pro tip for wild beach lovers-when you get to the beach, go right and keep walking along the shore for around 20-30 mins until you see trees growing on black rocks-one of the most paradise-like places I've ever been to (and I visited 80+ countries), water colours, treest and palms are just SPECTACULAR. Bring water and snacks and enjoy your day on an empty beach! Ps. Sainte-Marie is very very safe!
