Beautiful place!! The view and the silence in the day was great! The position is very good to go in Utrecht with the train in Culemborg and also for the park Efteling! You can rent the bike and the houses are very nice!!!!

I arrived very late and everything was closed however reception helped me get refreshments My room and the facilities were very clean, modern and the doom very quiet. I had dinner the next day and the food was delicious, The following day I brought two guests fur dinner and the food and service exceptional. The access in and out of the hotel is secure and free fir hotel guests and their visitors too This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in having travelled worldwide for 40 years I would recommend anyone to stay there

Nice and quiet area, beautiful accommodation and amazing breakfast

Ther room is very very nice, every detail is taken care of, in order to have a warm and comfortable environment and as soon as you enter, you have the feeling of being at home. Breakfast is very good and plentiful. Marjolein, the owner is attentive to every little need. She is very kind and for every request she is always very helpfull. I will come in the future, for sure.

The castle was wonderful, it definitely exceeded our expectations! The area is beautiful, in the middle of nature, with plenty of walking and biking trails nearby (by car). The host was very friendly and helpful, he shared the story of the castle, ideas on what to explore, where to eat. The room we stayed in was very beautiful and comfortable, made us feel like royalty. We also enjoyed a nice evening in the common area, with a fireplace, books and boardgames. In the morning - the breakfast was delicious, with local products - and the breakfast room was just as lovely and atmospheric as the rest of the castle.

This is a gem,a little self-contained house. Although it looks old it is a new house built mainly with traditional materials- heavy timbers, oak boards and planks,straw bales and a boarded and thatched roof.The house is designed on a traditional building with a hayloft, the roof would have moved on the large upright posts sticking out of the thatch to accommodate the hay. Downstairs is a large air-conditioned lounge/ diner with kitchen facilities including a fridge. There is a beautiful large shower room and washbasin with hairdryer and a separate toilet. Upstairs is a large bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a daybed. The stairs are quite steep but my 78 year old husband managed them. Breakfast is delivered through a hatch next to the front door ( so you don’t have to unlock the front door). Our tray had a large chunk of Gouda cheese from a local farm,slices of ham,butter,delicious crusty bread rolls, crisp-bread ,fresh sliced strawberries and fresh orange juice. There were eggs,milk, yogurts,and jam and sprinkles ( a Dutch addition to toast for breakfast)in the fridge. There was a coffee machine, toaster,an electric kettle and an egg boiling machine. Coffee, herbal and fruit teabags and sugar were also provided. Outside the patio doors there were chairs to sit and enjoy the garden and watch the sunset. Plenty of parking spaces to the side of the property. The local village has a castle,a church,several restaurants,bars and a pizzeria. There is lots of local tourist information in a folder and board games to play. There is good WiFi. We loved our stay here, and we will return.
