Bardia Kingfisher was recommended by our guidebook and it didn’t disappoint. Good value chalets in a very friendly, family environment that made us feel so welcome. And Pratap our guide obviously went above and beyond to show us the most and give us the best experience.

Everything was brilliant, from the guided hikes to the help to sort bus travel and more. On the hikes my guide Mahendra went way above what any of the others did to try and spot wildlife but in a eco friendly way. The owner and his wife were very kind and treated me like part of the family. To visit here also take the bus from Kathmandu, it’s an adventure in itself.

Great local family owned guest house with very friendly staff. Much of the food is locally sourced, including the rice that is grown in the family's own rice paddy. Guides were very good; determined to find a tiger for me, which they did even though they are hard to see at this time of year.
