We had a truly wonderful stay at this family-run guesthouse located near a peaceful river — the sound of the flowing water was so calming, especially after busy days in Kathmandu. The family lives on the property and welcomed us with genuine warmth. Their son greeted us with welcome drinks and later invited us for a lovely morning walk to a nearby temple. His mother prepared delicious breakfasts on the veranda with a stunning view. The whole family was incredibly kind and even invited us to join their son’s birthday celebration and a local festival, which made our stay unforgettable. It’s a quiet and relaxing place with no traffic noise — only the soothing sound of the river. We would love to come back one day! On the photo you can see the family and us. Plus the veranda and the view where we had our breakfast.

My stay was a serene escape. The view of Kathmandu valley and the forest was beautiful, with delightful bird songs in the background. It provided a calm and fresh atmosphere for a perfect one-night getaway. The villa was clean and beds was too comfortable. I loved the most was roof top city and forest view kitchen. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed the calm and peaceful environment at Hotel Monalisa. The natural views from the balcony and windows were stunning and made the stay even more relaxing. Our stay was great! Due to the low season, we were upgraded to a bigger room. It was clean and comfortable. Meals were available and quite good - I loved the seasonal juice in the morning. Location was great and very easy to get to/from when going into Thamel. Real Therapy was a great spa that is less then 30sec walk away which was perfect after our trek. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Let us have a late checkout and store our luggage as we had a very late flight. We would definitely stay here again.

I am glad that I stayed in this hotel. It has a great location, on a quiet street. The hotel has a good breakfast, and there is a cafe in the lobby where you can have a delicious coffee with dessert. The room was clean and had a comfortable bed, I slept well. The hotel has a responsive and polite staff. The hotel manager was very helpful, he walked me to the bus stop in the morning, helped me find the bus stop to Pokhara, as it is located in an unclear place. I am very grateful to him for his help. I definitely recommend this hotel. If my path lies through Kathmandu, I will only stay at this hotel.
