Fantastic location and holiday park. We had a sea view apartment and had everything we needed and the few extra touches were much appreciated. Would love to go back sometime!

Lovely stay with two small kids at Kotare house. The hosts Alysn and Brian are super welcoming and we felt at home. The kids loved the garden and we enjoyed the spectacular views. Swimming in Anchor Bay nearby is just perfect.

Motel is located just right in front of shops!! And 1 minute drive to the beach 😍 We asked for a late check-out, and they considered us staying untill 11am (check-out is at 10am) Quiet location, comfy beds, with kitchenette, and complete cooking utensils, and cutleries!! Budget-friendly!!

We LOVED the Salty Dog Inn. What a wonderful surprise. Snells Beach is a hidden treasure even in the rain. I booked it for one night on our way from Rotorua to Paihia. I wish we had made this more than in interim stopover. The room was wonderful. The restaurant food delightful. The staff was excellent. And did I mention the great WIFI? You can not go wrong staying here!

This is a beautifully curated property with lovely considered details such as vintage cutlery, luxury towels and linen, king size beds and nice decor. The setting is picturesque, and you can hear the native birds. Our hostess was very hospitable, even giving us some organic produce from her garden to take with us. Although remote, the property is located a few mins drive from Matakana and surrounding restaurants and vineyards. Highly recommend.
