United StatesHelen is a wonderful, welcoming host. The house is in a good location near Arthur's Pass and makes a great stop if you're driving cross country. We opted to include the dinner and breakfast and both were delicious. The common area and bathroom is shared with another room/visitors and we were lucky to have very enjoyable company so it felt like reliving the old hostel days as an adult 😀

Saw the TransAlpine train lumber into the sleepy town of Otira. Explored the school paintings in the train underpass. Said hello to the goats and pig and found dozens of horse drawn carriages, drays and implements.
