We had a great time in this camp. It's located a bit further then other camps, which ensures privacy and peace. The camp has a cozy common area where you can socialize with other guests and drink tea/coffee and eat dates. The beds in our tent were the most comfortable we slept in all Oman. Our host Saíd speaks fluent English and is ready to answer all your questions about the desert, beduin life, camels and so on. He also took us dune bashing (riding in 4x4 car across the dunes - great fun) and to see the sunset in the most beautiful place. They really went out of their way to make our stay in the camp special. They made delicious traditional dinner for us and then we sat around the fire and drummed and danced traditional dances. I can totally recommend.

We liked to spend our honeymoon with Ahled, speak about life and know more about Oman and the stars :) he made us feel like at home with his kindness, we thank him and Hamood a lot for that. Bed is very comfortable, and privacy is assured if you want to stay with your loved one. Activities can be also booked which are totally worth it, at least for us. Shukran 😍

The staff is amazing. This camp is very little, only 8 persons and apparently mainly Europeans. We eat together for breakfast, lunch and dinner around a table. It’s very nice. There is plenty of activities and a campfire in the evening. The food was delicious and in abundance. I thought it was only breakfast and dinner, but as we stayed two nights we had 1 lunch included. Facilities are great (hot water, charging our phones, very comfortable bed, extra blanket at night). There are many activities organised for a fee - we liked the camel ride. We paid the extra 35OMR for the ride to the camp as we didn’t have 4x4 (definitely needed!). It felt a bit expensive at first, but the camp is very far and it takes time to reach it for the driver. This is actually nice because we had no noise from any cars or light pollution at night. The staff is very very nice, always there to ask if we want anything (eg tea, coffee, dates) and the owner is lovely as well. They shared stories about the desert with us, it was nice to hear!

We were lucky enough to have a truly authentic desert experience with Salah, and it was simply perfect! Salah was incredibly kind and attentive. He picked us up and brought us to the camp, and even on the way there, we realized we had made the right choice. Driving past other camps located in valleys with little to no views, our excitement only grew. Salah's camp is situated in a remote area in the heart of the desert, offering complete tranquility – so peaceful that you could almost fall asleep just sitting there. The location is breathtaking, and every tent comes with its own private balcony to enjoy the stunning views. The tents were brand new, in excellent condition, and very comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, ensuring that nothing was missing. The food was delicious, with a wide variety to choose from, and freshly grilled dishes were prepared right in front of us. What stood out the most was the camp's location: far away from other camps, deep in the desert, allowing us to witness a breathtaking sunset and a magical starry sky. From a distance, we could see other visitors driving to less scenic spots to catch the sunset – at Salah’s camp, we had the perfect view right at our doorstep. An incredible experience that we wholeheartedly recommend! Thank you, Salah, for this unforgettable time.

A true, authentic desert camp - we loved it! The bedouin family who is running this camp was extremely friendly and welcoming, we felt really like at home with them. The night in the camp was very calm, as it was just us and the sky full of stars. Unforgettable private experience far away from any noise or light pollution. And the food which was served for dinner and breakfast was really delicious and super fresh!! We also had the opportunity to witness and discuss about their daily life in the desert, which was super interesting. We booked also additional activities with the bedouin family - especially driving in the sand dunes (dunesbashing) was fun and their driving skills truly impressed us! We even stopped by their camels and goats on the way, which was another amazing moment of our stay.

Very good stay at bidiya dunes camp, it was peaceful and all the required amenities were at the camp, it is good weekend holiday from the city. The owner is a very nice person too.
