I really really enjoyed to be here! Wonderful place, you are literally living in the river, which is supernice, you can chill in the hammock listening nature, or you can paddle around the area! The people who running the place are sooo kind and beautiful people! They are really helpful with everything, and the food is exceptional! There's so much love in the place, I really really liked it, and I will definitely come back sometime! :))

The host was very accommodating and very helpful all throughout our stay. He made sure that we were comfortable and well taken care of. Very hospitable and we had very good conversations as well, almost like we were staying with a friend. Would go back here again if I was back in Iquitos. Convenient location and close to the airport.

I was warmly welcomed by Ben, the host — he was incredibly kind, explained everything clearly, and we had some great conversations. I felt at home and very safe throughout my stay. His dog Gaia was absolutely adorable and added to the homely vibe. The breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruit and delicious granola — a perfect start to the day. The maloka itself was super comfortable and well furnished, with a thoughtful and cozy design. A fun little bonus: Snoopy, the frog in the bathroom — he made me smile every time. :) And even monkeys visited me in the morning. Would absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and warm experience before or after retreats.

I’ve stayed one week in the wonderful Guacamayo Azul integrating my journeys in the jungle, and seriously, I have no words how amazing this place is! The house is luxurious, huge comfortable main bedroom, fully equipped kitchen where I felt I could cook as if I was back home. The pool is another sort of privilege; calm and safe location, comparing to the rest of Iquitos. Julio, the housekeeper, would help me with absolutely everything I needed - driving me to do buy groceries, help around the house, even accompanying me to explore the local area’s gems so I don’t feel uncomfortable as a solo female traveler. A special thanks to him! The house is massive and would fit a company up to 8 people, but also it’s an incredible stay for a solo person, who seeks quietness and solitude, like in my case. I truly appreciate my time in Guacamayo Azul, and it only leaves me to wonder why it’s not yet fully booked. I wish you that!

Peaceful home close to the airport! The house was very clean and beautiful thanks to all the art work! I absolutely loved the room! Had a large, comfy bed and the fan kept my body cool at night! There is a fully equipped kitchen so you can store your food and also cook :) The location is just perfect; close to grocery stores and if you need to get to the city centre you can hop on the tuk-tuk (price ranges between 6-10 soles) and the airport is just around the corner from the house (tuk tuk costed me around 6 soles). The owners are absolute angels and are super helpful! They also like to chat with their guests and share about their experiences :) I got my laundry washed and hanged, when needed help to get to the shop on Mother’s Day (Sunday evening) the co-owner Denis went together with me and helped me out! So much warmth radiates from these people- thank you ❤️ Next time I will come back with more Spanish so the experience will be even richer!

We have stayed at this hotel for three days during our trip to Iquitos (province of Loreto, Peruvian Amazonia). The hotel is located in 5 minutes by a motocarro (tuk-tuk) ride from Iquitos ENAPU ferry terminal where all boats arriving from Peruvian border village Santa Rosa berth at and 400 m away from the city's famous landmark Ferrous House and very close to the Itaya riverbank promenade. All buses going to the local lake and leisure area Quistoqocha stop some steps aside the hotel's entrance door. - My and my friend's rooms were clean and tidy, cleaning was done everyday. - All facilities in the rest room were functioning OK, there was hot water in the shower. - Hearty breakfasts were served everyday with a choice of cooked eggs (omelette, fried egg, scrumbled egg with cheese, tomatoes or pork), bread with butter and jam, fruit salads, tropical fruit juices and a choice of coffee (black or with milk). - The receptionist Andre spoke a very good English and was ready to help. - The lady who owned the hotel was polite and kind, she was exchanging us USD into Peruvian currency at a good rate, helped to catch a bus passing by a park with local Amazon animals, fish and plants and before our departure gave a repellent tube to use it on our way back to Colombia.
