After two years living in the Philippines, without hesitation, we can say that Cocogrove is our favorite place. Firstly, and most importantly, because for many years the hotel and its management have been proactively protecting the environment, including the coral reefs at two marine sanctuaries in front of the hotel and in Apo island ( one of the best places to respectfully interact with turtles) . Secondly, the hotel offers high quality while maintaining a traditional and beautiful Filipino style, giving us a sense of tranquility even when the hotel was fully booked. Excellent rooms with perfect sea view!! The family was very nice and helpful, we even got a little breakfast although it wasn't included. They organised a tricycle ride for us and offered to take us snorkeling to see the turtles which where next to the property. There is a staircase from the property to the sea, so you have access to Tubod Beach.

We had a great time at Nakabalo!! It was created by a fellow countryman and its Filipina wife... who happens to be the best cook ever! The staff was charming, the cocktail were great. The room (deluxe), yet simple, had a nice Balinese ambiance with its open peble shower. I highly recommend Nakabalo when stopping at Siquijor :) Note: the location is great (infinity pool over the forest) but you do need a scooter to go the beach (it's a given in Siquijor!).

Fable is the best hostel I have ever stayed in! I ended up extending my stay because of it. The dorm room was so big and allowed you to have lots of space. The free toast and coffee/ tea in the mornings was a good way to save money and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The hostel dogs are also so cute and the staff were amazing with organising transport to and from group dinners/ nights out. The group dinners were optional but were a great way to meet new people in the hostel each day.
