The owners are the best people that you can find in Luzon. Butch and Claire literally saved our holidays, helping us to solve a difficult circunstance. The place itself is in another league compared to the rest in banahue, which is quite rough. If you go to Banaue, don't go to any other place, and if you plan to do the trip on your own, consult them first, as they will give you valuable advise that you can trust - I cannot stress enough how kind and helpful the owners are.

The Rice Homestay was a fantastic place to stay for my one night / two days trip to Banaue. They organised a pick up from the bus station, had flexible options for tours depending on schedule, as well as drop off back to the bus station when I finished. The tours felt very tailored to my requests, and the team (especially Bambino!) made everything very relaxed, easy, personable and enjoyable. Very clean guesthouse. A simple breakfast is included. There’s a nice little terrace with a lot of plants. Elma is very nice and organized us transportation and tours. She proposes dinner. We had nice chats and talked about her life, the homestay and local customs (Moma chewing…)

The staff is very kind. The food is really good. It’s near the entrance to Batad, better if you arrive during daylight time. There are no plugs in the rooms in general in Batad but you can leave your devices charging in the common area. Warm shower. The place is clean. Great view.
