Top notch! 20 out of 10! A paradise on earth. An absolutely stunning place - both inside and outside. The interior has a perfect combination of natural materials and well-chosen details. We lived in an apartment with a kitchen, where part of the kitchen was inside and part outside, so there was a nice connection between the inside and the outside. The same magic occurred with the wooden floors inside, which continued in the wooden deck outside. The environment is extremely calming in the middle of a vineyard with the mountains and the music of the church bells in the background. There is a lovely pool nicely connected to the wooden deck with sun loungers. In the middle of the vineyard there is a jacuzzi as well as seating and fire baskets. All this together creates a very warm and cozy feeling. The location is close to the nice town of Ponte de Lima or hiking in the area. Coming to this place after a day's excursion was like coming home - so peaceful. The staff is amazing - nice and helpful! This place has my absolute warmest recommendations!!!

Our host Eduardo was friendly and communicative and met us at the property. It was beautiful, comfortable, spacious, immaculately clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need with a lovely outdoor terrace. A real gem and I wish we could have stayed longer than just one night, it would be a great base for exploring the area and relaxing.

This takes a bit of finding if you don't have a good sat-nav, but it's a nice scenic drive high in the hills above Ponte de Lima. The property is just a couple of metres from a lane, and we were able to park the car on a specially prepared bit of grass verge about 20 metres away. The gite is on two levels. The entrance is on the upper level and leads into a good-sized sitting/dining area with a doorway to the very well-equipped galley kitchen and the light and airy bathroom. A short corridor takes you to a comfortable bedroom and, beyond it, a door opening onto a rather steep and narrow circular staircase descending to a second bedroom with an external entrance on the lower level. Outside is a big patio area with table, chairs, lounger. Definitely a nice calm place for us to stay for a few days after the hustle and bustle of Ponto! Ponte de Lima is only about 12 kms away, with its cafes and restaurants and Tourist Office, the latter having the nicest and most helpful staff we've ever met.

Breakfast OK. Location - great views during the day, approach a bit tricky. Follow the signs for Casa Da Li when you get closer, not the GPS that may lead into some very narrow streets. Location itself is great once you get into the gates.
