We stayed at Quinta d'Abegoa's apartment, Casa do Souto, which is very cosy and ideal for two people. Everything is really well thought out so the apartment felt bigger than it actually was. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is excellent. The outside space is beautiful - we loved sitting out, listening to the birds and the bells from the sheep, while enjoying the views of the both the castle and over towards the mountains and Spain. We made the most of being able to walk to restaurants in Marvao (although it is uphill all the way!) but we also cooked at the property - the kitchen is tiny but is very well-equipped and has everything you need to self-cater. Our host, Rosa, looked after us extremely well, bringing us breakfast every day, and nothing was too much trouble. We love the area around Marvao and will definitely return for another stay at Casa do Souto.

The location was very beautiful. We felt at home. The view from the living room is amazing. We had one of the most beautiful sunsets I can remember. The breakfast was very tasty and plenty, prepared with love. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We had interesting conversations.

Absolutely loved the location. Every single little detail was thought through, everything that you could possibly need was available throughout all the rooms. Cleanliness was impeccable, nothing to complain about. The beds were extremely comfortable and we liked the touch of having different pillows for different preferences. The house was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Loved the pool table. Perfect little piece of heaven. Perfect to seek some peace and quiet. Friendly hosts and easy check in.
