We recently spent two nights at RoVillage in the Apuseni Mountains and had a truly unforgettable experience. The location is remote and peaceful—perfect for anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy the beauty of nature. The traditional Romanian houses are beautifully restored and full of charm, offering both comfort and authenticity. One of the highlights of our stay was the connection to the land and local lifestyle. The hosts raise goats, cows, chickens, and pigs, and also tend to a lovely vegetable garden. Most of the food served is produced right there on the property, and it really shows—everything was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. Each meal felt like a celebration of local flavors and traditions. The hosts themselves were wonderful—warm, welcoming, and eager to share their way of life. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, tradition, and good food, we highly recommend RoVillage. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Amazing and friendly host, all check in and check out is easy and does not need the host around. The inside is perfect - A/C heating, kitchen everything. The place is beautiful, very quite, friendly neighbors and nice cabin. The kids enjoyed playing with that animals around and we enjoyed the quite. The owner was available when we needed and gave us very good instructions how to get there. We enjoyed very much from the staying there!

The host gave us everything from directions to shops, walking trails, views to get to, things to visit. Stunning view out of the window, pretty much everything you need for cooking if you’re into that sort of thing. And a great companion - a very sweet dog named Negruț that visits the property.
