From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. A special thank you to Hussain, whose kindness, attentiveness, and professionalism made all the difference during my stay. He went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. His thoughtful presence added a truly personal touch. The premises were immaculate and beautifully maintained. Every detail, from the cleanliness of the rooms to the inviting communal areas, reflected a high standard of care . I felt extremely comfortable throughout my entire stay: peaceful, relaxed, and completely at ease, as though I were in my own home. Chez Sofia is a great place to meet other travelers. The rooms are really big. We had a microwave and a fridge in our room. The outdoor seating areas are lovely. It's a bit away from the island but it's so easy to get there by bus. We were so lucky that the owner was there because he is a really lovely, kind man. He made us food and organised a lift to the bus station.

I'm absolutely amazed that this hotel has such a low average rating because my wife and I absolutely loved our stay. The staff were superb, epitomised by the security officer running down the pitch dark street at 6am in the morning to help find us a taxi so that we didn't miss our early morning bus to Dakar. The restaurant and bar areas are absolutely gorgeous; a wonderful colonial hotel vibe. It was a joy to dine and drink in this hotel. Our room was very nice, the location is perfect and the staff were really great in the restaurant, bar and front desk. This to me was a proper 4-star hotel experience. If I ever return to Saint Louis, I will definitely stay here again. Many thanks 🙏
