A little bit disappointed to be misled on the name of the Hotel - its nothing to do with the real "Travelodge" chain, and the rooms are no where near the Travelodge standard. It carries the sign outside, but has a different name in the reception area. If you put that aside, you are getting a renovated older hotel in a very quiet part of the City. The rooms were clean, and the shower & bedding quite acceptable. There is a huge area for parking outside and its relatively safe being as access is through a "tunnel" into what can be described as a courtyard. Check-in was a fraught affair as there was nobody on reception ... I called the number displayed, and didn't understand a word, so ended up walking behind the counter and taking a key for the closest room, which I presume the owner was trying to tell me from my poor understanding of his Thai. He did turn up 5 min later and seem OK with my actions, sort of ! Location is poor, with nothing at all in the area, with nearest bars/restaurant being a good 2-3 km away, the other side of the railway tracks.

Great location close to the beach and the owners were very friendly.

Lovely staff, clean and spacious room, comfy bed and great position. This beach area is lovely with white sand and clear sea. Recommended= Well Coffee (really, really good coffee), Le Betole (authentic Italian) and The View for Thai seafood.

Retro Box was an unexpectedly positive experience. The owners managed to shade and insulate the metal containers in a way that it was nice and cool inside. There were quite a few rooms overlooking the pool (ours didn't, but it was better this way as those seemed a little bit smaller). Breakfast was delicious, staff were polite, beds were comfortable - we loved it so much that we were the last ones to check out, after reluctantly stopping all that pleasant lounging pool side. In short, we loved it, and would highly recommend it to others. Great job, 👍 well done!

Super super friendly and helpful owners and staff. Very convenient with the shuttle service cooperation to go to the ferry to Koh Tao/ Phangan.. we unfortunately had only booked 1 night, otherwise im sure we would have ended up staying longer. Such a beautiful family and hotel!
