Family hotels and homes in Ban Wang Khon

This hotel is fantastic. I have read many average reviews before going there and was prepared for some inconvenience but surprisingly everything went great, way beyond my expectations. First, even if one staff member doesn't speak English, there is always someone near who does. Breakfast was good (I ordered eggs benedict. Come one, who wrote the review that they have only Thai food! Nonsense). In the dinner menu you will also find both Thai and western options like grilled salmon or pork chop. They are not that expensive. Let's remember folks where are we staying. It is a floating hotel! You won't get food for the price of a skewer from the Thai night market obviously. Worth to consider buying a voucher (sold either on the pier or in the restaurant) i.e. buy for 2000TH, you'll get 2500THB to use in a hotel restaurant and some activities (sorry don't remember which ones, used that for drinks haha!). You also get 30mins per person free wifi, which is possible to pause and not use in one shot. I haven't used it and enjoyed the scenery around me though. And this is why we are coming there, aren't we? The amazing views and closeness to nature. You can enjoy free kayaking, swimming pool in the lake (how crazy is that?!), and of course the lake itself. Hotel offers you to take private boat from them (4000THB both ways). Take it! My wife was hesitant, if there is a chance to stop for the toilet during the tour. There is! Just ask the guys on the pier and speak with the boat driver. In the middle of the journey there is rangers station (Nang Prai Raft House on google maps). No problem to stop there, no extra payment. Nice people everywhere. Boat from the hotel takes you on the way there to the most beautiful places of the park. It's basically a tour. We got there from Krabi (paid 2500THB for old smelly corolla taxi) and went after to Phuket (3000THB for clean Iveco SUV).

There's a reason why You'll never see an add about a Bugatti, same way as You'll never see Panvaree the Greenery shouting about their place- once You discover it, You'll know the true luxury of a dream- like place. This hotel trumps any 5 star place You'll encounter in Thailand, heck probably in the world. Albeit expensive for Thailand's avarage stays, we took the superior suite right next to the dining area to experience this place to it's fullest extent. Not only will You get treated like royalty every step of the way, You'll be fed 3 times a day with the most delicious food this country has to offer (and every day the food will be different). The room itself was amazing with private shower, conditioner, softest bed around and the only tinted windows out of all houses if You crave for privacy inside. It was complimented by a personal hammock just outside our doorstep and an entry to the lake with life jackets and a kayak at our disposal included in the price. Excursions (which You'll get 3 if You stay for at least 2 days) were breathtaking. Not only will You see National park's wildlife in it's full glory, but You'll be taken on a trip around the park in both dailight and sunrise as well as experience the nearby jungle on Your way to a coral cave. This place is worth every penny and more. If You ever thought about spending a little extra- this is the one place to do it at.

The location is amazing. Staff friendly and food plentyful and good. Beds and pillows lovely.

Everything was perfect except the service. We had to wait for dinner, breakfast while others were served right on time. That’s the only thing they can improve on. Except this it was a lovely stay and I would recommend everyone to spend a day or 2 in Praiwan and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful nature

Comfortable stay in the middle of jungle. Recommend for everyone! Tasty food for good price.

At night there are so many nature sounds (in good way), you can hear how jungles come alive. Also you can order food there, we had tasty breakfast

Everything, great accommodation. We had a family apartment. It is also suitable for two couples, because it consists of two separate rooms with their own entrance and 2 separate bathrooms. The resort is in a quiet area, the price includes transport to the center at any time. Restaurant and shop right in the resort. Thank you for a pleasant stay :) ขอบคุณค่า

Comfortable bed, delicious food, friendly hosts 🩵

Absolutely everything!!! Hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, we felt like home, they even packed some breakfast pancakes for our little girls so they do not get hungry on the trip. They helped us with everything - a tour, taxis, everything. Our room was very beautiful, with an amazing view and a great company - lots of monkeys! And last but not least, breakfast was juuuuust perfect, everything we tried - tasted amazing. This place is unbelievable ❤️❤️❤️

Such a stunning and peaceful place to stay with amazing views. The tent itself was really comfortable and had air-conditioning. Breakfast in the room was one of the best I've had in Thailand - especially the pancakes. Great coffee too! The owners were super friendly and helpful and helped me arrange a day trip to the lake.
