The room assigned to me is a double business room. The size of the room is large enough for 4 people while I stayed there by myself. For the bathroom, there is a sliding door to separate the shower and the toilet. Last but not least, the breakfast, which is buffet, is great subject to the room price.

I love how convenient it was going to the theatre because I stayed here to watch a show. I also liked how comfortable the room was and how they made an eco-friendly note for the guests to explain why there were not disposable toiletries except for toilet paper. I also love the breakfast. As a British tourist this place was perfect just to soak up some heritage hotel vibes. It does actually look as grand as it does in the pictures and it really was a bit of a "oh wow" moment pulling up to it in the taxi. Its a little old and tatty inside but not in a bad way, in an original vintage furniture way. The room and balcony were massive - and yes it all looks very very south East Asian (it kind of reminded me of the hotel in the Shining with its big red pillars everywhere!) There is a gorgeous little boutique looking brasserie on the first floor and the food in there was really good. You do have to buy a ticket to use the walkway into the park (I think it was 80 NTD - not very much) and the park is lovely - I walked all the way to the pagoda and climbed to the top and back, which took a good three hours - but the views from the top of there were the best, you can see the entire city - would only do this early morning though - it would be to hot for the rest of the day. I spent an hour or so just walking round the property taking pictures, I booked it for how it looked and it exceeded what I was expecting.

First time trying the 'auto service' type of hotel. No one is there for checkin and everything done through LINE. Everything was fluent.

Very clean and cosy B&B (or minsu 民宿, as they call it in Taiwan). I had a single room which is quite small but exactly suitable for one person. All of the amenities were brand new. For same price in Taipei one could expect a run down place with a sparkle of creepiness, but this B&B was exeptionally good. Location is also great, just 400 meters away from the Meinong Bus station and downtown area. Free bicycles provided for customers is also amazing, since Meinong is extremely walking unfriendly. getting around on a bicycle or scooter is a must.
