Very clean, secure and good value for money. The host and staff are super helpful and kind and will literally assist with anything that you ask them. There is a car available for hire with a driver at affordable rates. Perfect as a base for exploring Uganda game parks. Close to the airport, shops, restaurants etc.

Everything, the villas are so clean and spacious and have everything you could need from your own personal infinity pool per villa to a rooftop terrace. Wilson and all the staff were all so lovely and accommodate your every need. The property is a bit outside of town so the airport transfer and personal chef was fantastic and the food was amazing! Couldn't recommend enough and a special shout out to Wilson for looking after us so well!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel 256, The location was perfect! easy access to town and to the airport. It is located within a gated community, providing security and peace of mind. Our room had a lovely view of the lake, which was nice to wake up to. We enjoyed a well prepared breakfast and a delicious dinner of Ugandan local cuisine. Our rooms were very comfortable, well decorated, and had all the room amenities required. Toni and Esther, the hotel staff, were very attentive and always on hand to offer any assistance or information. Every area of the hotel has been well designed and is extremely inviting.

The location was perfect easily accessible, not far from the main road(Entebbe road) the host was really cool, Mr Innocent was just the best and always available to help.... Very respectful workers within the compound... I'd definitely recommend hills apartment to my friends visiting Kampala

We stayed at this hotel during the New Year period and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent, offering beautiful lake view that create a serene atmosphere. While there is a road nearby, it does not affect the experience — in fact, the proximity to the airport and city infrastructure makes it a convenient choice, especially if you're traveling by car. What truly sets this place apart is the owner’s personal involvement in the hotel's daily life. He goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcome and comfortable. The New Year celebration he organized was exceptional, as if he were hosting close friends rather than hotel guests. This level of care is reflected in every detail of the hotel. The bar and kitchen are great. And falling asleep to the sounds of nature around at night is simply magical.
