Very courteous, friendly, helpful staff. Everyone was very personable and hospitable. We felt like we got to know them well during a five-day stay. Rooms were very insulated from any outside noise and from our hearing any other guests.

Breakfast is good quality and variety, they have a pancakes and waffle machine that is awesome, also fruit and yoghurt and the space is wide, what I liked most was staff that welcomed me on Friday 27th , Jena was her name I think , very kind and comprehensive because we arrive late night at 11 pm , but she was so kind to show us all the stuff, I even booked another night with her because I felt very confident about this place, also rooms were very practical, good air conditioning system and beds, maybe I just would improve shower because its not so easy to use those cold and hot water faucets , small zen japanese gardening is great and so parking place.

Location was amazing! It’s just 15-20 min to Tacoma. Nice and quiet area. We enjoyed the walk by the water. Kids played at the playground and water spray park, we enjoyed sitting on the Broad Walk, biking/ jogging and watched people dancing/performing. The neighborhood seemed new and the residents decorated their patios beautifully. We also spotted a deer family. Hotel was new, nicely decorated and cleaned. Loved the large bathroom with double vanity and a separate toilet closet. We also liked the hallways being nicely lit. Staffs were friendly and approachable. Valet parking only but service was prompt, parking area was gated and secured. No complimentary breakfast but coffee was free at the on site Copper & Salt restaurant. Taco Street in the Public Market across the street offered delicious food! We visited the Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, which was a short drive away.

First visit to a McManamins and it was such a feast for the eyes- like a hostel on steroids, the paintings, colours, photographs, fabrics and plants are just super fun and extra. Also an amazing story(ies) behind a historical building you have to see to truly appreciate! Cozy room with a clean, comfy bed. Excellent, friendly staff and great drinks. The best part was the multiple bars to chose from. Found this great as a solo traveller- safe, fun, unique spaces that i didnt expect to find all under one (fabulous) roof. The tiki bar's great and Spanish bar's cocktails were particularly awesome! Little tour of the gorgeous "ballroom" concert space was a nice touch. They also have a great little gift shop with a variety of taps available. Super memorable experience, will be back with friends/family for sure and will be seeking out more spots from this company.
