Such a nice, relaxed place. Great big rooms with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Patrick is the best host! He even offered to make dinner and gave me a lift to start a hike in the Marloth Reserve. Breakfast was great too! Definitly recommend staying in this lovely place :-)

The host was very welcoming and gave us many tips for our journey. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, beautifully decorated to highlight the history of the home. Coffee and tea were available. We did not stay long in Swellendam, but were charmed by the picturesque buildings in the village.

It was a very nice, cosy and comfertable appartment with a magnificent view from the terras. The bed was good and what a beautiful garden.

Our stay at Sanbona was phenomenal! From start to finish we had an incredible stay. The staff were so welcoming and couldn't do enough to help us. The rooms in Gondaana were beautifully designed and had every amenity we could ever have needed. Sitting on our deck and watching the wildlife was unforgettable. Our guide Brenda was extremely knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the local flora and fauna, whilst also ensuring we saw everything we wanted to see. The food in the restaurant was amazing and again, the design was faultless. Overall, a once in a lifetime experience!

Swellendam is an ideal location for breaking a journey through the stunning Overberg Region and this boutique hotel is a Gem. Perfect for a couple of nights stay to or from the Garden Route. The hotel has been beautifully restored and retains its Victorian Heritage. The staff are attentive and very professional. Alison, the Owner, is a talented Chef and prepares all the food. The dinner menu was excellent, offering a wide range of dishes all beautifully prepared. Breakfast was also outstanding.
