Great communication from the host pre and during the visit. The view from the window was like a painting. The hospitality from the hosts who took the time to answer all our questions about farm life. The good and delicious food we got both for breakfast and dinner. Nice to share the dinner table with the other guests.

"We had a great stay here! The place was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We slept really well, which is always a top priority when traveling. The host was very friendly. The views surrounding the area are fantastic

We are birders and went looking for the Red Lark. In miserable weather, freezing cold wind, we found about 15 of them. Platbakkies is the place to stay if you are looking for special birds. The food made by Lizelle was delicious, the room where we stayed was warm and comfortable. There was a roaring fire in the fireplace to warm up in the dining room. Wifi to catch up with friends and family. In the room were some items for sale from local farmers, jams, hand spun wool, beaded necklaces and knitted scarfs.
