San Ignacio
Featuring garden views, Nabitunich provides accommodation with patio, around 9.1 km from Cahal Pech. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the farm stay's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. This place felt like paradise hidden among agricultural land with nearby jungles and ancient ruins. The host, Dominic, is so kind, helpful, great to chat with, and an excellent cook! He provided us with great recommendations for food, tour companies and transport. We woke up to roosters, toucans, parrots, and many other birds calling each morning and were served delightful coffee and breakfast daily. We also had the option of delicious suppers on site for a small extra fee. The beds were very comfortable and rooms clean / well appointed. The cottage is located close to the Xunantunich archeological reserve such that we could walk there and back with our adventurous kids. That saved us on having to hire a tour company for the day. This is an incredibly place with a very gracious and communicative host. Plus, my kids loved the dogs and cats on the farm.

Featuring a terrace, the 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The hotel has a hot tub and room service. This property is an oasis just a stone throw away from downtown San Ignacio. I was so taken with all the trees and plants and I love that they have benches to simply sit and enjoy nature. The shower was phenomenal, the bed was comfortable, and the A/C was superb. I liked that there’s was a little coffee maker complete with filter paper, ground coffee and powdered creamer and I made good use of it in the early morning when I needed to work remotely. Speaking of—the WiFi was excellent and I had no issues with any of the conference calls I had during my stay. Lastly, I’m very impressed with the attentiveness of the staff. There was always someone around to ask for help or get a recommendation, without them being helicopter-y. If you need a nature retreat within easy reach of downtown (if you’re into walking) I wholeheartedly recommend this place! It’s especially perfect if you’re backpacking but want a nice, calm place to stay. The bus drops you off at the bottom of the hill and it’s a 5 minute walk.

Since we are a family of 4 we booked a room with two double beds. The room was quite small and there was only room for two people to sit on the porch. Since renovation was being done to the room next to us and my husband complained about the noise we were upgraded to the garden cottage. I wasn’t too excited about the room but the garden cottage was fantastic for us as a family. The grounds of the resort are stunning and having the choice of swimming in the pool or tubing on the river was luxury. We loved the wildlife around the lodge.
We had to leave early due to family problems at home, the hotel was excellent value and I would happily book to stay there again
Really nice family, helped me to book for my activity, to find a place to fix my phone. I had a wonderful conversation with them.
The Tut family were amazing hosts, very friendly and helpful. They scheduled amazing tours for our family that my teenagers really loved, especially the ATM cave tour. The rooms were great, the food was delicious, and we felt very at ease. Would definitely stay there again.
Amazing place right by the river where you can swim. A hidden gem! You can have breakfast & dinner at their cosy restaurant where they serve meal. Family friendly! They have wild birds & monkeys and other rain forest critters that you can observe with the kids! We loved it and we will be back. Some simple stores and a bakery are 7min walk from the place. Awesome location for all the local tours! The staff there were like family! Cozy place! A must stay! My 6yrs old and a 10 year old loved it!
The staff was great and the food on site delicious! My husband also loved the food so much he mentions it every now and then. Very family friendly.
Food was fabulous! We felt welcomed and as if we were staying with a family. Owner let me pay through a website, rather than PayPal. Loved the grounds, the creek and the area.
- Fantastic quiet location with wonderful views - Walking distance from Xunaantunich, our favorite Maya site in Belize (el Castillo!) - Good breakfast and dinner, basic but inexpensive - Dominic the philosopher is funny, intelligent and very honest (we did not have the luck to meet his wife) Very recommended, value for money!
The property is very nice. The room is very cute and functional. The meal were fantastic
