We loved how private the bungalows were and the beautiful gardens where we saw birds and listened to the howler monkeys. The separate kitchen was great to make additional meals, the coffee maker and fridge in the room was a plus. The location was amazing, though Cahuita is small we were tucked away from the main road but only steps away from the entrance to the park. All around a great stay.

Playa Negra Guesthouse is located in Cahuita, right in front of the beach. All units feature a seating area. Some units have a terrace and/or balcony with pool or garden views. The owner was super friendly. The house is located in a beautiful garden, basically your own private nature reserve with sloths, birds, frogs, aguri and more.

Offering an outdoor pool and water sports facilities, New Caribe Point is located in Cahuita in the Limon Region. Puerto Viejo is 14 km away. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. We just got back from staying here for a week and LOVED IT! They gave us a few complementary things (coconuts, bottle of wine, etc. during the stay and just seemed genuinely happy to have us! The bungalows are awesome, with A/C in the bedrooms (extremely necessary). We were with our 18 month old toddler and the following was awesome with a kid: - less than a block’s walk to the beach (chill dirt road) - ground level bungalow and fully gated property so pretty safe for her to run around - a smaller pool in addition to the big pool that she could stand in (she’s 80 cm tall) and has an umbrella so it can be fully shaded - had her own air-conditioned room (and they provided a big pack-n-play/crib) - no breakfast, but just 50 m toward the beach is an amazing breakfast place that we went to every morning (Bridgett’s Ranch - so many animals, wild and domesticated!)

Situated 5 km awayfrom Cahuita in the Limon Region and 18 km from Puerto Viejo, Passion Fruit Lodge boasts an outdoor pool and views of the tropical garden. Cocles is 20 km from the property. Everything. The Nature, pool, the house and the area. The owners were just so welcoming and relaxed.

Offering a year-round outdoor pool and tropical garden, La Rana De Cahuita is set 5 km away from the centre of Cahuita. Puerto Viejo is 18 km from the property. We had an amazing time here with my boyfriend. The host was superfriendly, our room was quiet and we had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious as well. I hope we can come back some time!

Hotel El Colibri Rojo - Cabinas - Le Colibri Rouge is a bed and breakfast hotel located 3 km from Cahuita centre. and 300 metres from National Park Cahuita. Everybody was very kind and they gave us lots of recommendations of things to do. I forgot my rings in the room and they kindly saved them for me until I returned to picked them up. They also reply very quickly to messages sent on booking and offer to text you on whatsapp.

Just 50 metres from the beach, Hotel El Encanto is located in Cahuita and features a pool and a restaurant. Guests enjoy free Wi-Fi, free breakfast and private terraces. Very close to Cahuita and walking distance to Cahuita National park. Very lovely and relaxing ambiance. Extremely friendly staff with excellent recommendations.
