She made sure that we had a very nice stay and had everything that we needed. The home is so beautiful that you find something new to admire all the time. It is clear that a lot of love and effort has been put in this home. The fridge was full of food so we didn't even have to get groceries straight away (breakfast foods like eggs, cheeses, hams, milk, bread, juice, flour etc.) During our stay 5 kittens also hanged out with us outside. We named them all:D You can find their names in the guest book:). Ps! If you are coming without a car it is not very easy to go to places. We did walk to Palaichoiri (about 30-40 min walk). It was a lovely walk in the mountains (picture of mountains taken on the walk). There is also a minibus that drives there. It is the nearest village where they have a small grocery shop and a bit more coffee shops/restaurants but Askas also has restaurants and coffee shops. However they were not all open everyday during our stay. Staying at Tinas country house was lovely. You will feel like royalty as it is so beautiful.

If you want to experience the culture and local organic cuisine, this is your place. It's the antithesis of mass resort tourism, just what we were looking for to disconnect from our busy office routines. The house itself is big, spacious and beautiful. To our surprise it was very well connected to major highways and relatively central for travelling around the country. The room was comfy and we slept great. Breakfast was tasty and homemade, with jams and products from their own garden. The hosts are also very passionate about animals, ask them for more information on what they do to help Cypriot stray dogs and cats in the area. We also enjoyed the activities offered on site, such as halloumi making. We learnt from Tassos' mother directly, with more than 60 years of experience in cheesemaking! Sara and Tassos' were very helpful with recommendations of what to do everyday and where to eat. Protip: Go eat at Taverna tou Theodosi in nearby Deftera for a Cypriot feast. All you can think about was perfectly prepared :) Even woods for fireplace to start fire. The host even prepared for us fresh flowers and tasty wine. Cold water in the fridge, games for intertiment. What else you need to have a great vacation time :) Minimarket about 20 meters from the house. Panoramic trail with wonderful views on the village, damb, and mountains :) , just go a little bit up above the house.

It is a beautiful building with a wonderful verandah which we lived on except when we slept. The hostess has set the house up beautifully to be comfortable- including teas, honey, jam, juice, water, bread and sweeties. We loved this part of Cyprus- if you want to get a feel for the area and where to visit, go to the small folk museum in Pedoulas which is fab and gave us lots of ideas for what to see.
