Overall, we had a great experience at Rioja's San Asencio. We will return!!

The bed was comfortable, the AC's efficient and the apt is well equipped. There's a lot of people in the street at night, but the bedroom faces a backyard so it's quiet.

The property itself is really impressive, and unlike anything else we encountered. The restaurant and the food were both really nice. The attention from the owner was exceptional. Casa Grande Hotel is not cheap, but it is a totally different proposition to anything else you might find on the Camino. For those not walking the Camino, it would still be a really great spot for a night or two away in the wilds of rural La Rioja.
