The best yet on this pilgrimage. The apartment is literally right across the street from The Basilica and St. John Vianney. Was so pleased we booked a third night. Comfortable and well equipped apartment. Would love to have enjoyed the patio with a glass of wine but the weather did not allow. Highly recommend !

A unique accommodation in the French countryside. Hostess Marion welcomed us on arrival with a tour and history of the chateau and its owners. The structures are ancient but the amenities, including nice firm bed with fluffy duvet, modern and very comfortable. Fun to watch the property's pair of donkeys grazing as we sipped Beaujolais wine on the terrace. Easy drive to medieval villages in Ain, including nearby Pérouges, and Beaujolais wine route. Lovely nearby restaurants (in Joyeux and Versailleux) serving local specialties for dinner, just a few minutes' drive away. Thank you Franck and Marion for making this special place available for a short stay!

If you’re travelling in group needing 2 rooms this probably isn’t an issue. You won’t find a more comfortable/quiet stay if that’s what you’re looking for….
