The property is soundproof and is located 49 km from Lascaux. Very clean. Had everything we needed and water and fruit juice in the fridge was a nice touch. We would have liked ‘proper’ mugs as the small tea cups are too hot to hold when filled with hot drinks so we bought two and left them in the cupboard. Superb value and superior to most hotel rooms.

Set in Mailhac-sur-Benaize, 50 km from Saint-Savin Abbey, Aux Berges du Lac de Mondon offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Guests can have a drink at the bar. We chose this accomodation from the photos and were so happy with the choice. Our small room was very comfortable and the bathroom/shower perfect for us. Located across from the lake we enjoyed exploring the short walking trails nearby and lake views. Pre dinner drinks on the patio, followed by an excellent dinner in the restaurant was a treat. The owner spoke excellent English was very helpful with all our questions and requests. Breakfast (an extra) was equally as good. This is such a lovely country retreat with a real French feel at an affordable price.
