In the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Lister Arms is a quintessential English pub and AA 4-star 18th-century inn, offering home-cooked food and cosy accommodation. The staff were exceptional, both the assistant manager and manager were very helpful in helping transfer luggage and a packed lunch. My requests were not quite the norm.

Less than a mile from the Settle-Carlisle train stop. Peace, quiet, and natural beauty…exactly as advertised. We’ve come from the U.S. twice to visit the Yorkshire Dales and stay here. We look forward to a third visit. Highly recommend with zero reservations. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

All of the staff were extremely friendly. The rooms are done up to a very high standard, spotlessly clean. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was exceptional, there were so many choices at breakfast and staff remembered our preferences from the previous morning. We ate in the hotel for dinner, the menu was amazing and the quality of food even better. We could fault absolutely nothing at this hotel, thank you!
