Himalayan Regal House is set in Deskit. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. It’s a regular hotel. However, it’s faultless; the rooms and the bathroom are fairly large, the beds are comfortable. Breakfast and Dinner were very good.

Guests can grab a bite to eat in the in-house family-friendly restaurant, which specialises in American cuisine and also offers vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.

The area is popular for walking tours, and car hire is available at the guest house. Thangkop House has a children's playground and a picnic area. Wang, Dolma aunty and Samir made us feel so loved and taken care of! We landed early in the morning, but they had some amazing chai and our room ready for us within minutes. Every morning, my partner and I were so excited to wake up, just to be able to taste dolma aunty's home made bread. Samir makes excellent omlettes! Wang took care of all of our travel needs. He helped us get our permits, dropped us to Rumbak village for a hike, helped several others in the house book their kardungla road trips and also dropped us off to the airport for our departure from Leh. When we had an unfortunate accident at the hike, Wang prepared himself to come rescue us, which goes to show how above and beyond they go. We loved their house so much so that we extended our stay at the house by another couple days. They also have multiple sweet kitties on the property, who love to lounge in the sun and never bothered us. We also really enjoyed the our room and the location of the property. There's a lot of restuarants, supermarket within 5 minutes walking distance. The leh market is 15 minutes away with a lot of shopping stores along the way. Perfect home stay, can't wait to go back here with my parents soon.

The Khama offers a children's playground. This place was exactly what we were looking for! It is GORGEOUS, spacious and comfortable. Staff: They were professional, helpful, prompt and courteous Food: I was concerned it might be too oily, but the chef managed to make it delicious and wholesome. Loads of variety too. Location: It is very close to the dunes, local market and outside food options (if that is what you prefer) Room: Very large, lots of space to spread out luggage if needed. Hot water in the bathroom was refreshing for hot showers after long days. We didn't have any electricity issues and their wifi was quite strong as well. The view was spectacular. Ambience: The overall vibe was that you have your privacy, but also feel connected. We felt right at home and truly enjoyed our stay here. If we had an option we would certainly return for a much longer stay.

I had booked here and arrived with 0 plans, but thanks to Tariq, I was able to make the most of my time at Leh. His property quietly reflects the same hospitality offering convenient access to the market place and everything you'll need for a comfortable stay.

Boasting lake views, Tak Holidays provides accommodation with balcony, around 1.3 km from Shanti Stupa. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The guest house features mountain views, an outdoor fireplace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. We had the most wonderful stay at this hidden gem. The rooms had a great view, the bed was comfortable, the shower was divine, and the hospitality was A+. Located a short ten minute walk from the center of Leh, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. I’ll definitely be back!

Offering a garden and mountain view, The Destination Homestay is situated in Leh, 1.4 km from Shanti Stupa and less than 1 km from Soma Gompa. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The homestay has family rooms. Lovely room, great terrace with view, away from noise of Main Street but close enough to walk. Special shout out to the hosts for being so helpful and accommodating, especially for looking after our luggage. Thank you very much
