It is in a quiet location and clean good sized swimming pool with beds and parasols. Our room is clean and the view is beautiful. We went to Scarea beaches and 20 minutes to get by car. We did, in the morning we used the swimming pool, then lunch out to the Scalea beach, After the beach, we cooled down in the pool back again. The air-conditioning was working well, but it was quite cool in the night while we were in August.

The hosts Maddalena and Ernesto made us feel really welcome and made sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. The dinner and breakfast were great too.

Elena was a wonderful host; she met us, told us where to park and took us to our apartment. Our room had two windows; one overlooked the quaint street, and the other a beautiful view of the mountains. The bed was very comfortable, and the apartment itself was a perfect size for my husband and me. Each morning, we went down one flight of stairs to the kitchen where Antonella was waiting to pamper us with coffee, cappuccino, cornetto, juice, and granola. Besides the Bed & Breakfast, Elena has a restaurant called Rupp Diun. All I can say is W.O.W! We told Elena our food preferences, (I am a vegetarian, for example), and she totally customized the meal that she prepared. Elena has a gift for making you feel like family. We ate at Rupp Diun multiple times because when the food is that good, why go anywhere else! It was fun to meet Elena's family and friends throughout our stay! Full disclosure: my grandmother was born in Colobraro in 1897, and I am on a mission to find out anything I can about my Italian roots. I probably would not have visited Colobraro if not for my grandmother, but what a shame that would have been. Elena and her friend Maria were extremely helpful in guiding me with my search. This beautiful, welcoming hill-top town with the most charming people should be on the bucket list of those that are looking to immerse themselves in Italian culture and history. I hope I am lucky enough to be able to make my way back to this charming city that is filled with townspeople that welcome you with enthusiasm and pride that leaves you with a longing to return. We were two families, and the rooms assigned were "Alba" (sunrise) and "Tramonto"(sunset), and those names aptly justified their names. Although we stayed just for a day, we were able to enjoy the sunset at our friends' room, while the sunrise was spectacular from our room. The rooms had spectacular views overlooking the valley and the mountains. The Ionian Sea was also visible from the height and distance. The location is great, near the historic center, with a great home run restaurant, "Rupp Diun," nearby. Otherwise, the place is a quaint getaway from the hustle of the cities. The rooms have all the amenities required. The breakfast was okay, featuring packed croissants, toast, juice, milk, coffee, jams, and more. However, the dining area, as well as the rooms, features refrigerators that can be easily used to store food. Piero and Maria are great hosts, polite, accommodating, and always present on the phone. I would go back there again. I would highly recommend this place if you want a couple of days away from your busy routine and want to recharge close to nature. Walking in the historic center is refreshing, where we found a 12th-century castle and a 12th-century church for San Nicola di Bari.
