The hotel feels very new and stylish, with a warm atmosphere. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with excellent beds and a beautiful bathroom. The breakfast buffet was outstanding – honestly the best breakfast we had on our entire trip, with both Japanese and Western choices of very high quality. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful: I had forgotten my cap in a restaurant and they organized everything so I could get it back – that deserves special praise. The location is also perfect, just a short walk to Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen Garden. A wonderful base to explore the city. Highly recommended!

All in all, I was looking for a traditional Japanese experience and Matsusaki did not disappoint.

It was such a nice quiet retreat from our city travels, and the best sleep I got all trip. The host family was so sweet, I was sad we had to leave so soon. Definitely recommend making the trip! We were just 2 people but I'd love to come back with more friends and their kids, it was very well set up for larger families.
