Miyajima
Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The hotel features a public bath, a karaoke room and free WiFi at the lobby. First it’s new year eve night that we planned to stay here. We’re worried about the shuttle bus which available until 18.00. But the hotel gave us special service shuttle bus for the new year eve night to go to the jinja from 11.30-2.00. Thank you very much. All the staffs are very polite, helpful and very warm welcome. I love everything

Bettei Fujiya features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 26 km of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and 26 km of Atomic Bomb Dome. The accommodation features a spa bath and a private open-air bath. The accommodation offers a sauna, free WiFi throughout the property and family rooms. The room was very clean, spacious by Japanese standards, and offered serene traditional atmosphere blended seamlessly with modern conforms. There was a terrace with a beautiful view adding on to the comfort of the room. The dinner was traditional Japanese-style and for sure it should not be missed! The multi-course kaiseki meal was beautifully presented and very delicious, including fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. The hotel's location is good for visiting the Itsukushima Torii (Water gate) as it is just one station away from it but at the same time away from the madness of the island.
Miyajima
Just a 5-minute walk from Miyajima Guchi Station, Miyajima Coral Hotel offers air-conditioned rooms and self-service laundry facilities. The hotel features 2 dining options and free WiFi is available throughout the property. Hotel Coral is not on Miyajima Island, but it is literally right next to the ferry to and from the island. We didn't expect much after reading some reviews complaining about how old the hotel is, but we were pleasantly surprised and loved our Double with Sea View. I was expecting a small double bed but was so happy to see it was a king size bed. I requested a high floor and received it and the panoramic view of Miyajima Island was wonderful. The room was spacious and clean with two sitting chairs and table by the window. The bathroom had all new fixtures and the soaking tub has heavenly each night. The Western bed was firm but comfortable. Hotel Coral was very generous with their complimentary amenities, the best selection of items in all the places we stayed in our 5 week trip to Japan. The amenities bar in the lobby was extensive and included items I've never seen offered for free including tea without caffeine (roobois), scented bath salts, olive oil based facial wash and moisturizer, candy, and a choice of additional types of pillows as available such as memory foam. It was also nice to have bottled water replenished daily, as well as new sets of yukata and towels. We opted for the eco cleaning and received a nice voucher to use in the restaurant or gift shop, but you can also opt for daily cleaning. The included breakfast held many choices and was replenished regularly. Housemade tofu, pillowy French toast rolls and ultra moist carrot cake were favorites. A variety of breads and croissants and more. The ferry to Miyajima is right across the street and the ease of using the ferry earlier in the morning or later in the day was key to avoiding the insane crowds that descend on the island to flock to the Itsukushima Torii gate.

Hiroshima Station is a 30-minute train ride away. Aki Grand Hotel provides a free shuttle service to Miyajima Station, which is a 5-minute drive away. Free on-site private parking area is available for guests. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. I had an ocean-view room with a balcony overlooking the Miyajima Torii gate. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with two twin beds. The hotel also provided free breakfast and dinner, which was very convenient, as I didn't have to leave the hotel to find food. I also used the free bus that takes you to the station and back, it made my stay less stressful. The private onsen I reserved was very relaxing and clean. I loved the view of the ocean while I enjoyed the onsen.
Miyajima
Reopened in April 2014 after renovations, Miyajima Morinoyado offers comfortable guest rooms and a spacious public bath. It is a 1-minute walk to Miyajima Aquarium and a 15-minute to Itsukushima Shrine. From the free shuttle, to the welcoming staff and just the overall experience, it was amazing. The location is absolutely great as it's just outside the busy area, across the aquarium (which we can recommend) and the start of one of the three routes up Mt. Misen. It's quiet, the view from our seaside room was gorgeous and the food so tasty. Do not hesitate, book here! I certainly will if I come back to Miyajima!

2.5 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach in Miyajima, Hotel Miya Rikyu features accommodation with access to a sauna, spa facilities and public bath. Featuring sea and mountain views, this ryokan also offers free WiFi. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, a lift and luggage storage for guests. Hotel Miyu Rikyu is perfectly situated along the waterfront just a few steps from Miyajima Ferry. We had a sea view room and could see the Otori Gate from our window. The setting and room were very. beautiful, Sleeping on the traditional futons on tatami mats was comfortable, and the set 12 course menu was delicious (though could be challenging for picky eaters). Breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful. Note that we were the only foreigners during our stay and the staff does speak English but it is a much more traditional Ryokan. On site onsen (public bath) was very nice with a small view out to the sea from the top floor.

First time in Miyajima and so so glad we stayed overnight. It’s a wonderful and enchanting island. Cute temples, deer wandering everywhere, mountains to climb. Nakaya is in a great location, lots of space in a spotlessly clean traditional house (we were family of 5). Owner was super helpful - her recommendations for activities and restaurants were spot on. Would love to go back.
Friendly staff and beautiful accommodations. Family rooms were traditional with amazing views. Also enjoyed using the private onsen. Would highly recommend.
This is a marvelous gem of a guest house. Not only visually attractive, it has a wonderful laid back vibe which was just what my kids needed after travelling around Japan from hotel to hotel. Wish we could have stayed for 2 nights. The vegetable curry was much appreciated.
Amazing Rokyan, we loved our experience so much. We travelled as a family and were treated so well. Service is fantastic what seems to be a family run hotel. Dinner was fantastic, served in our room and breakfast in the dining room. Kids meals available if you book ahead of time. Getting into town was no issue as you just go the information booth and get them to call the hotel to pick you up. My daughter had a swim in the beach out the front, which was lovely. Deer everywhere. Beds on the floor were comfortable. Loved it. Book it :)
We feel lucky we found an affordable hotel in Miyajima. We were right by the center so we could stop by any time. The hosts were very friendly and we felt welcomed. The room was very comfortable, with plenty of space. The bathroom was quite small but clean, so this was not a problem for us. They offered recommendations for nearby restaurants and provided a guide of the island which was very helpful.
Fun experience for the family, we stayed in the house/apartment. Facilities were excellent. Breakfast was self service and had a good choice.Evening meal we didnt try but it smelt really good and other visitor appeared to enjoy it even going up for second helpings.
Loved the meal - gave us such a good experience of many things. Brilliant cultural experience for our family and the kids were so nervous with the onsen, but loved it in the end.
We are a family with three teenage-kids from germany and had a great stay. Ellen and Yo made us feel like home. They picked us up from the station so we didn't had to walk with the luggage - the way to the house is not far but a bit hilly. We could use the kitchen and the living room was a common place for everybody. Ellen and Yo had good hints for our sightseeing trips and were very helpful and just great hosts.
Location is perfect (2 min walk to the Miyajima ferry). Kaiseki dinner was excellent and 2 servings were more than enough for 2 adults and 2 small children (4 and 5 years old). Breakfast had western and Japanese options. Staff was excellent, very nice and helpful. They even put our luggage in our room, which was a nice surprise after a day of hiking.
