The front desk staff were SUPERIOR, the room was beyond our expectations. Located in the heart of NARA, it was a short walk to all of the attractions and downtown shopping/restaurant area. I can't say enough about the superior level of customer care we experienced and wish I could remember her name to give her credit directly.

We had a lot of space to ourselves, including a japanese bath and a nice bedroom with comfy futons. Most of all, the homemade breakfasts (japanese style or occidental) were absolutely delicious and very generous. The location was quiet but close enough to walk to the park, temples and restaurants.

Each guest room has a Japanese-style decor and offer panoramic forest views, traditional tatami (woven-straw) floors, and shoji paper screens. Every aspect of our stay at Tsukihitei was special. The staff were incredibly attentive, the extraordinary food and the location stunning.
