One of the highlights of our whole trip! Opali and his family are pretty much the nicest, most welcoming people we ever met. Food was amazing and the room very spacious. We had great talks and Opali told us a lot about his life and Sri Lankas situation. He even did a night walk with us where we saw lots of animals. Also, the place is perfectly located if you want to visit the ancient city, you can even rent bikes directly at the house. In Polonnaruwa I would go there again any time. Highly recommended!!

Great AC , fantastic bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Great pool, beautiful views to rice fields. Lovely buffet breakfast. Huge diner in the evening. Staff are amazing, nothing was a problem, kind curtious, lots of local information. Gorgeous garden. Cheap laundry service.

The room was comfortable and very clean.The location was perfect to explore the old town and the temples. You can rent bikes which is very convenient.

If “off the beaten track” is what you’re after, this is the place. It’s a farm run by a beautiful family who have a well appointed set up for visitors. We chose this location being somewhat close to Somawathiya National Park. Unfortunately, the National Park is not open to the public so instead we visited Somawathiya Chaitya. A great traditional breakfast is included and our hosts went above and beyond to help us in any way they could. BTW - their English is not good but adequate with the assistance of translation apps.
