Very clean, well maintained, big variety of food offered. Airco, hangers, place to put your bag, side bed light. I also got to see some animals just in front of my room. Hosts are very helpful but not intrusive and speak very good English (and some German) and have a great sense of humor. Some power outrages (normal in Sri Lanka) but they have a generator so no problem. The outdoor pool with the jacuzzi is almost ready :)

We saw everything, he is so knowledgeable about everything, he found the best spot for us, including the traditional Sir Lanka lunch with an outstanding view of the lake. They found the best options for our transportation and the room is perfect to relax after an exciting day!

Leels Cottage absolutely exceeded our expectations, the cottage really is a luscious private haven and I wouldn’t change a thing. The room is so stylish and the photos don’t do it justice. The safari was absolutely amazing and Leel pulled over a couple of times to collect litter, one piece would have been particularly harmful to the wildlife, which shows his care and commitment to his job and the animals. Leel always maintained a very respectful distance to animals, which worked very much in our favour as one elephant approached us and grazed a metre from the truck. The safari breakfast made by Leel’s wonderful mum and wife was incredible, they really know how to do a picnic breakfast. The dinner we had at Leels was perfect, we could not be more impressed. 10/10 stay

Located 14 km from Udawalawe National Park, EdenHaven Cottage offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace. With garden views, this accommodation provides a patio. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. There were so many choices for a place to stay for a safari but this one is the perfect one! Very calm place surrounded by nature, very clean and delicious local food! They arranged the half day safari for us with a breakfast in a private place in the park which was great! The family is the most adorable, we really felt home! We even had the opportunity to learn how to cook sri lankan with them😍 The son is the one who imagined and created the cottage which makes it even a better place. They give all their heart to it! We were sad leaving this place! Thank you for everything & we hope to come back to see you all soon!

Janik and his mother Schwarna are lovely people who really care about their guests. Nothing is too much trouble and we were very grateful to Janik for arranging transport to and from Amba Kola for us. Schwarna is a talented cook and we really enjoyed her cookery class - and of course eating the delicious Sri Lankan food she taught us to make! We also particularly appreciated the large comfortable bed and superb pillows!

The pool was the most clean and nicest we have been in. It was very peaceful. The rooms were very modern and clean. They were very attentive and able to make changes to meals for dietary reasons. Would recommend 10/10.

A baby safety gate is also available at Eagle Safari Cottage, while guests can also relax on the sun terrace. Very clean, comfortable and wonderful host. Lovely quiet lake nearby for sunset stroll and safari very easily organised by the host at a very good price.

Buffet and à la carte breakfast options with warm dishes, fresh pastries and pancakes are available. Guests can go to the family-friendly restaurant, while a grocery delivery service and packed lunches are also available. - beautiful cabin - lovely owners and good communication by WhatsApp - private safari was well arranged - best food we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far. Have dinner there! - lovely dog
