It was super clean and serviced everyday. The breakfast was great and the staff were really friendly. We loved the pool and the gardens of the property, plus the view of Concepción was stunning. The hotel is located around 45mins walk / 8 min drive from Moyogalpa. It is also around a 20min walk to Punta Jesus Maria where there are a couple of small places to get food and drinks (and watch the sunset!) The main attractions of the island can then be reached by car.

The guest house features family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. This was easily one of the best hostels if have stayed at. The host family is extremly welcoming and organizes everything you could want (taxi, bikerental, kayaktour) at good prices. The room was cleaned every day and we were given fresh towels daily as well. The breakfast (can only recommend adding that) is delicious and filling. There was a hiccup with the communication via booking.com (it had overbooked the room and when we got there a solution was already provided. I cannot overstate how nice and generous the hostess Odelba and her family was. Jutst thank you for making our stay this wonderful!

There is a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries in each unit, along with a hairdryer. It felt peaceful and private, yet also safe! We loved the butterflies in front of our cabin and we liked all the greenery. The kitchen was perfect and I loved having two lounge areas (eating and sitting). Staff was very friendly!

Located in Altagracia, a few steps from Santo Domingo Beach, Xalli Beach Hotel provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Providing a bar, the property is located within 11 km of Maderas Volcano. Certain units at the property include a balcony with a lake view. We loved our stay at Xalli Beach Hotel. The hosts (especially Carlos) were super friendly, welcoming, and make sure you had everything you need to have a comfortable stay! The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. The restaurant (apart from breakfast) was closed during our stay (I believe due to low season - October), but there were options to order food from a restaurant nearby and eat it in the restaurant at the property, so it wasn’t really a problem. We organised a taxi pick up from the ferry and a scooter rental via Xalli Beach Hotel as well, which worked great! The property is beautiful and you have direct access to the lake (so nice for a lovely morning swim).
