It is in front of the beach ⛱️ 😎lot of sunbeds ,shadows, and trees, very clean. Good for rest. The food was very good. all employees were willing to help with any problem or question. Great place to stay.

Our stay at Babalao was absolutely perfect. This place is clean, comfortable, quiet and above all SUPER RELAXED. It's a small place where staff is genuinely kind and caring without being fake or trying to sell you something, we could tell they like working there. We loved that there were no strict policies. We could have breakfast whenever we wanted (we are not morning people so this is amazing!), go into the pool late at night and they even let us do a late checkout without any charge. They also informed us of local prices for taxi, fruit, etc so we had a better idea of what a fair price is. There's unlimited tea, coffee and water, and they even let you take towels out to the beach. The beach is super close, just around the corner. Beds are comfy, massage is fantastic and there are also board games and books around for entertainment. Also there is a super friendly dog there that is just as chill as the owner - don't worry, she does not jump on you. There is also a sweet cat that loves cuddles but will leave you alone if you don't want to interact. Both of these animals are clearly pets, they don't live on the streets. For us this was a nice bonus as we love animals, but even if you are nervous, don't let this stop you from staying here. Babalao is very suitable for couples and solo travelers, but can also accommodate families - there even was a small birthday party for one of the guests. 😊

Stayed for 1 night only... sadly – should have booked more. The place is peaceful and right on a calm stretch of beach. Staff was chill, no stress. No loud music, just waves.

The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and often anticipated our needs before we even asked. The food was delicious, our villa modern, spacious and spotlessly clean, and the overall service top-notch. One of the highlights was the Swahili night, featuring fantastic local dishes and an unforgettable acrobat performance. We also treated ourselves to a relaxing massage during our stay— just what we needed after our safari adventures. Although not beachfront, the resort is just a short walk through Jambiani village to the sea, or you can take a shuttle to one of their partner beachfront properties, which are equally well-designed and welcoming. That said, we actually preferred the peaceful charm of the Oasis itself. We’d come back in a heartbeat—and in fact, we’re already planning our return in 2026!

It was an amazing experience at Royal Manderin, which is located in a very central location in the middle of Zanzibar, not very far from all the tourist visiting sites. As soon as we reached we were greeted by 2 staff members with fresh juices and cold Lemon towel which lightened our mood. The guest Relationship manager Ms. Siara greeted us with a warm smile and was helpful throughout our stay, helping us plan all our activities according to our scedule and always kept a smile for us. The manager Mr Emmanuel was also extremely helpful, friendly and hardworking and then lastly Mr Ahmed from the cabana massage parlour gave us the best beachfront massage we have ever had. All in all, it is a resort that you all must visit.

We loved everything about this hotel. This is a relatively new hotel and small hotel (only 6 rooms), located in a dreamed place with stunning ocean views from every room. The rooms are big and comfortable, beautifully designed and very well maintained. Restaurant/bar open from 7am to 11pm every day. Food is ok but we went in low season and the hotel was at half capacity so I think this might be better in high season, cocktails were really good. This is an ideal hotel if you are looking for a very quiet relaxing vibe, operated by their owners, on the beach (the hotel is design to live your holiday barefoot as all common areas are sand, don’t worry there’s a feet washer outside every room). Town is a nice 30 min walk down the beach only in low tide, or a USD 5 taxi/tuc tuc. We loved it so much that we end up cancelling another hotel we had in the north of the island just to stay more time here. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a super relaxed holiday, were you don’t need to leave the hotel if you don’t want to. Beautiful beach walks and amazing snorkel right there from the beach.

We were two families with kids of all ages. We had a perfect time. The staff is genuinely friendly and happy to cater to your every need. The location right on the beach is superb. The bungalows and restaurant are around the pool so if you have young children you can watch them in the pool at your leisure. The atmosphere was relaxed. It is a small place so no crowds. The beach was great. The breakfast was delicious and very gracious with a menu to chose from even though it was complementary
