Great hosts, very friendly, including the beautiful cats and dogs! Best location for a quiet holiday close to nature. Home made ingredients for breakfast. Highly recommended!

We loved the views and the great breakfast

The room is big and very clean. The breakfast is fantastic, with a broad range of things to choose from. The dinner is divine. The menu that is offered is fantastic and a very good deal, with a good quality/price ratio. Fransesco is a very good host! He is friendly and helpful. This was the best place we stayed at when in Italy. A good place to start exploring Genoa and surroundings.

Location and views were stunning. People were amazing and friendly

Everything was clean and comfortable, but still simple so the nature remained the main attraction. The staff were kind and helpful and the food was lovely. Would have to loved to stay longer in such a beautiful and calm environment

Location: the place is situated almost on top of a hill near Portofino resulting in beautiful views (which one cannot capture in a picture). The host, Carlotta, offers a little shuttle every day but we mostly enjoyed taking the hike up and down the hill which gives you several views over the different bays and hills. You are also connected to the hiking trails into the natural park. We would really recommend the hike (1h15min to 1h30) to San Frutuosso; you can take the hiking trail which runs behind Carlotta’s garden. Depending on the sea conditions, you can take the ferry back to Portofino. Room: we had a cute room with a comfy bed and a nice, clean bathroom attached, and our own little terrace to sit on (in addition to the many other terraces and benches on the hill to relax on). There is an AC and there are handy sliding screens on both windows to keep any insects out. Breakfast and delicious coffee is served every morning; the people staying in the two rooms can make use of a kitchen, with every room having its own little fridge and cupboard. Since my partner and I stayed for a whole week, we made use of it from time to time. Little grocery stores and bakeries can be found in Portofino. Host(s): What made our stay so pleasant was that all of this was taken care of by a super kind and helpful host, Carlotta. We also have to mention Yuri, a super sweet doggo who helps giving the place a relaxing home vibe. Summary: this place is suitable both if you are passing through for one or two nights, but also if - like we did - you want to stick to one venue for a long week to slow down.
